This can be very difficult in a foreign country, due to a different cultural code, but their other relationships and interactions can be very revealing. There's a sure fire way to break the manual. When she asks your job, tell her that you teach English as a Foreign Language. If they are looking for money, you'll be immediately blocked. They might be sincere if they continue contact. However, don't hand over money until they are chained to the kitchen and can't run away. That's the best guarantee.

Vice always existed of course; however it has dropped to drastically low levels : lying, vulgarity, lack of manners, have become too common; directly imported from out ‘american friends’ (believe me or not here.). I'm lucky that I found a woman that's closer to my age and she was already divorced. I know that's a rarity in Japan, but she doesn't ask me for anything. Whenever I come to Japan, I often call her up, and she comes to meet me outside the Navy Base to spend time with her. Sometimes we go back to her place, or to her bar (she owns it), and just chill out for awhile. After listening to several Japanese youtubers such as 'Ask Shogo', 'Yunaty' and 'The Japan Reporter' on Japanese society, i believe the main difference between the Japanese and Chinese version of Confucianism is that the Japanese version seems to lack the Taoism element. Confucius was inspired by the Taoist master, Laotzu, during an important discourse between the two when Confucius was a young scholar. As a result, the strength in yielding （温良恭键让） can be understood better in the context of Taoism. I believe the root to self-depracating/masochistic tenancies in Confucius societies lies in the incomplete understanding of the Taoist essence of yielding. I have watched several Meshida's videos on hentainess and found that hentai entails enjoying some sort of pain/vulgarity, which essentially is the nature of masochism.
