RSPB Scotland manages seedbeds on the River Tay to help species like Bearded Tit and Marsh Harrier. But it's also the last source of commercial reed for thatching in Scotland.
In this video see how the reed from the reserve is being used to create traditional building at the Scottish Crannog Centre. And find out how boosting Scotland's natural and cultural heritage go hand in hand.
RSPB Scotland is grateful to the The Carman Family Foundation for support with thatch cutting operations at the Tay Reedbeds.
