Hello Alex! I wanted to asked if i have work exp in 3 different companies, will they have the same level of inquiry for all 3 or will they only inquire about the recent job, all 3 jobs are in fortune 500 companies, i managed to get the letters from previous 2 employers with all the duties mentioned and all the required details but, my most recent job is only 6 months old and i'm apprehensive about getting the reference letter from them. If the immigration officer only inquires about my most recent job i suspect trouble of a negative feedback and screwing my chances. Please advise.

You are doing a great job, keep it up well done. But you forgot to mention that salary element from work experience letter is verified and must match with the bank statement payroll payment. Also, salary certificates must show the same amounts as mention on the work experience.

Not necessarily. There is no requirement for the salary to be deposited into a bank account. What if you receive it in cash? This is not impossible.

Thanks for the wonderful video. I have a situation that needs to be attended to and I need your help. I made an error (I filled a visitors visa instead of a work permit visa), so I had to write the Canadian consular office to notify them of my error on the submitted application. They responded that my application has been withdrawn and they would need me to submit a work permit application so that they can continue with the processing ( I also have 3 dependants linked to my application). But on the account application, the previous Visitors visa still appears there and there's no link for me to upload any documents. Please what can I do? hi Alex...I need a clarification in this case... My case is as: - my employer only gave me a reference letter with only my designation, joining date, number of hours per week mentioned - nothing else is specified in above letter like salary, job roles and responsibilites etc - I got the HR denial email as well where its simply denied to any other letter apart from above details - I requested my manager and he checked with HR and legal department to check the feasibility of him issuing me a statutory declaration and his business card. - he was told that he can personally issue one but he MUST not mention his designation, email id or any reference to Company's internal details like department names etc and he MUST also NOT attach his business card with this. - My manager gave me a stamped letter with his name, address, contact number and my roles and responsibilities but it does not has his email id, designation etc. My question is that the declaration letter from manager without his designation will have any value?

Usually, reference letters are signed by direct supervisors, not by HR department. In some cases, a detailed work contract and confirmation of salary statements may substitute the reference

There's no requirement for an employer to speak any language, as long as he/she may confirm everything stated in the reference letter. You may need to demonstrate pay stubs

this US company outsourced in the Philippines back in 2016 to a Local PH company. The local PH company provides manpower and I was hired to work for and serve as a Manager for this US company. This year the US company decided to end their business with the PH company to start their own local subsidiary and operate the locally. In line with that, they also decided to acquire and absorb all the existing employees to continue their employment. It involved some contracts and fees were settled to get the employees. The US Company said that the employees can keep their tenure and they will retain the number of years they gained from the time that they joined the company who hired us to work for them. My question is, Should I still get an employment certificate from the Local PH company who hired me to serve this Us company or can I just ask for an employment certificate from this US company (which is now my actual company) and provide the details I mentioned above?

Better be safe than sorry and obtains those confirmation from both businesses (for example, what if either of companies will go out of business later, on and Canadian immigration officials will not be able to reach out to them for verification purposes?)

Just a brief question: What if I already have the reference letter from my employer where all the required information is provided, should I also provide as well at least some of the next documents to back up the reference letter: • Employment contract or appointment letter; • Employment offer letter; • Deputation letter (if your company transferred you from one country or subsidiary to the other); • Performance reviews; • Pay slips covering at least the first three and last three months of employment; • Bank statements showing deposit of salary; • Proof of income tax payment; • Reference letters from (former) supervisors, managers, HR representatives, or co-workers; • Reference letters from customers, clients or patients, as the case may be. Or the reference letter ONLY is enough?

However i got a question regarding the reference letter that's giving me headaches and don't find a clear and definitive answer anywhere. I have a 3 year experience in a Logistics company which I left in 2017. My ex manager wrote me a reference letter which includes ALL the information required by the Ircc. However after reading many comments on different interactive websites, it looks inevitable that immigration officers will ask for supportive documents such as payslips or tax form. Hi Alix, I have a confusion related to Total work experience.. what if that I have work experience in India post my master's in fashion designing as a teacher for 2 years and post that I have done master's in acounting from australia. And there I have work experience in acounting for 1 year ( different NOC and field from India experience) So what will be my work experience counted as for in express entry PR filling.. Note: the crs score calculator says "It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B)." So just wondering if the experience has to be in one occupation (noc) or accumulative experience counts... pls help

Hi! I have a question, I would appreciate it a lot if you could help me. The thing is that one of the companies I worked on, uses 2 different names, the trade name, and the business name, but they are completely different. They gave me my Reference Letter using the business name, not the trade name, but if I google the company using the business name only, I find nothing. However they put the real website and the real email of the company which both include the trade name on them. Do you think this would confuse the immigration officer or would consider this as an incongruity? What should I do? Thank you a lot in advance.
