Vanilla was great. I got lucky to get in a guild that cleared MC, BWL, Naxx, and AQ the learning and sharing of info was such a big part of it. Also wandering around a meeting new players to help with quests was cool. So much about Vanilla just can't be refabricated. It was just the right time.

I came back to WoW when they released classic vanilla. First longer quit after Dragon Soul raid was released at Cata. Started again at WoD and ended at WoD after one month. I spent two months at classic vanilla and came to the conclusion that it has way too many bots, gold selling and boosting for my taste. Haven't played after that and I'm happy. I occasionally watch these vids from Xaryu, Payo and Asmon but I don't have any interest to play it anymore myself.

My favorite was probably a tie between tbc and wrath, but maybe wrath better overall - I was just stuck in a lower end guild at the time and tried to make it work so didn't get the full experience.

Lost Ark is super popular in Russia, most girl that i talked to, thas was into gaming was playing Lost Ark or Aika, the reason why LostArk collapse in west - purely because poor implementation and marketing. Actually same thing was doing WOW in Russia. They kinda mirrored bad strategy with bad pricing, no support, no local servers, worst value.

The story adjustment to reset wow is very simple, we lose. EVERYTHING. We fail this expansion, everyone dies. (maybe a few left) and we rebuild in a new world. New cities, new land, old story subtle woven into the new story. We start a new, new spells, new game.

Bro how is legion above classic - Even wrath and tbc never reached what classic did. Imho a lot of that can be attributed to starting at lvl 1 in classic. The power creep that you experience going from 1-60, and then the raid gear, just could never be reproduced in an expansion due to the nature of an expansion (you dont just start from the beginning)

BFA is best expansion with 2 whole as expansion zones in 1 and way too much content. People weren't able to chill and do alts because there was too much to do. in my opinion it was the best because of that infinit amount of things to do and not having to spam arenas / rbgs / blitz / ss everytime i get on. I used to actually do open world content and pve back then because i could do both pve and pvp without it being seperated.

i literally have the answer, instead of building the world UP by making it bigger, they need to just add smaller and smaller interactive things in the world for every level, think like a beer mug on table at goldshire, that if you click it before a certain level it just gives you some lore and hints at Maby you should come back when your higher lvl, then when u click it at lvl 40 or whatever u drink it and pass out with a blurry screen and an NPC walks in and drags you out and down the path right by all the low lvls questing players to see and drags you all the way to that spot with the iron dwarves just west of the trog cave. were there would be high lvl and elite mobs and a quest thats just 1 example, they could FILL the world and dungeons with hundreds of thousands of these type of things, add instanced player housing that is unique to each class, a mage could place a portal anywhere to his, a rogue could pick any properly sized tree anywhere in the world and make it a tunnel entrance to his, ect also should drop all items and gold you have in your bags when u die and only get it back if u get ur body, (equiped gear, XP, and your bank would not be effected) that would make banks have a use, the point is all these things work to fill the world with players of all lvls traveling everywere

Jesus, Battle for Azerth and Shadowlands was total GOAT xpac it's amazing how people seriously think that BFA and Shadowlands are to blame for the decrease in subs, when only the people who play it since vanilla have started a family and had children and eat a corporate life and don't have time to grind WoW for 5 hours a day anymore, unless they are a streamer like Xaryu. At the same time, both DLC had the best mythic plus season. The best dungs, the best zones. Raids? Ghuun, Jaina, Azshara, Nzoth. Come on, stop lying to yourself.
