nice use of dalot. how about dalot becomes the overlapping fullback with rashford on the rightwing whilst shaw could be turned in to a passer as they make a back three in attack so they could also utilise his defensive attributes. shaw could primarily operate in the half space behind like cancelo does at city while they utilise dalot's crossing and dribbling potential as a flying wingback coz he is not as defensively good as shaw whilst sanch keeps the left wing width which gives a matic like DM less ground to cover in defensive midfield with the back three shape giving defensive cover while being able to play van de beek and bruno in the same team or go for mctominay instead of van de beek in bigger games if u need more defensive security

Ten Hag's philosophy is what has been the philosophy of Ajax for over 50 years now: Total Football. It's what Cruijff brought to Barcelona (and to Guardiola). To introduce this method into MU will take a loooong time. It needs players that grew up with it and needs to be taught at MU's youth academy (does MU have one? I never see an "own youth" player in the team). The time required for this is not what Ten Hag will get at the "commerce first" Man U corporation. Therefore, after the glaring examples of Van de Beek en Van Gaal, it would be foolish of Ten Hag to step into the Glazer death trap. If you like Ajax' football style, you better start supporting another club (Barcelona, Man City, ...)

Maguire’s problem out from the back is we play a man down in possession because our GK doesn’t show for the ball. Whereas most teams now have GKs partake in build up. Think of it like Rondos during a game. Our CBs have one less option to pass to when being pressed and it makes them look worse on the ball because of it.

I think De Gea just needs confidence to pass . He had GOAT= CB's like Prime Jones and Maguire who are slow, cannot handle the ball properly, and tend to make mistakes when other teams apply pressure to them. In 2014 and 2015, De Gea had the best distribution, save percentage and shot stopping rate in the EPL and worldwide, challenging neuer, as I said, he had good distribution because Manchester United had better central defenders with good awareness, strict principles (playing the ball properly, not misplacing any passes leading to foolish goals) and good chemistry with the keeper. Meanwhile, we can take a look at Maguire, how awful he is with the ball, he can't handle pressure, misplaces some crucial passes, and ensures the keeper is always under pressure, which demotivates keepers not to let them pass to CB's as they tend to make mistakes. Ten Hag can come up with a defensive plan similar to how Man City plays (involving the keeper as a CB) so that we can play defensively high and can make sure that no counters happen. When that happens, De gea can finally keep some clean sheets.

Eg the game this weekend no one is being blamed yet De Gea could have caught the cross. Varane and Telles were ball watching and Dalot was crap in defense as usual

Signing will be challenging becoz we are out of championship and europa league...nowadays players joins the club which are in major tournaments. Want to see many of them shown door and get back players on loan. Just becoz fof Pogba the culprit we lost JM else he would have done better

I love the possibility of Ten Haag becoming our manager but i worry that the current owners who are clueless about football will not back him properly either financially or with the time he would need to change our way of playing and our attitude and mentality. We only need 3. CB, CDM RW. Somehow the same 3 we've needed for 3 summers. The rest of the positions are fine. They just need coaching and a style of play. Without that they look shambolic but they aren't, we've been winning because we have better players but we lose because we don't have a style of play.

The thing I'm just sick off is not seeing how 11 professional footballers can't get their shit together and win games. They're making rookie mistakes and it's beyond me how. How at this level does Rashford not know how to make a 5 yard pass. How does Maguire not know how to play his position. How does no one understand how to keep moving and make dynamic runs and honestly why is everyone's fitness so shit. Like there are glimpses of magic you see from this team but they aren't consistent about it and I can't figure out why. Like what is stopping you as a professional footballer from playing at your best.

@Truth Seeker Fred and McT are definitely not leaving and are decent backups if they're playing as box to box midfielders with less defensive duties.

@Truth Seeker I wouldn't say McT is a good CB, he does a job but he's definitely a box to box midfielder. He's great at driving through midfield and edge of the box shooting. He has a decent passing range aswell. We do need to 8's as backups without pogba anyways.

Laird is a better option that both Dalot and Awb. Sorry but Dalot's long range passing is a myth atm.
