It depends on who the song is directed at. If it's a guy speaking to another guy it isn't that bad, it's when you think it's a guy towards a girl where the problem arises

Not problematic at all. It's more like "you don't listen to me, but if the roles were reversed, I would treat you like you treat me". Men treat women like we're puppets, so they're saying that, if the roles were reversed, we would be the ones in control. Men don't know how to please women, so we would show them how to, like a puppet show. It's more then fair, since a relationship is supposed to go both ways, but some boys simply don't want to listen and just want to do what THEY want, leaving the girls to be unhappy.
