Without power, we use our wood fired stoves. We love them and they cook brilliantly!

The only thing I'd change is go even wider on the star picket spacing so that you can really side-cook those low-and-slow meats, rather than hang above.

We have a grilled with folding legs like the one in this video. Where did you get it from? Using star pickets like this a great idea to hang food off to cook.

I’ve had that camping hot plate for nearly 30 years now. Bought it from a camping store on the Sunshine Coast. Back when stuff was built to last!

Stainless tie-wire for the parts in direct contact with the meat/food.
