How would you manage a young man with polycythemia vera and fatigue?

I was diagnosed yesterday with Polycythemia, with leukocytosis and thrombocytosis with blood marrow biopsy. I’ve been sick off and on for years. Sept 9, 2019 I was diagnosed with crypto sporidium which I think I got from well water. I had drank the water for about 5 or 6 months. Symptoms lasted for over a year before treat. I believe they invaded my lungs and ears besides intestines. I presented symptoms to several drs before tests were done. I’m wondering if this infection induced high wbc. I have had worsening fatigue for years. For the last several months I’m fatigued to the point of barely taking care of myself. Finally BMB. I am also curious if the fact my father had leukemia for 3 years when I was born could have any relationship to my blood disorders. He did 4 1/2 years later. Had 2 male cousins that died of leukemia in childhood all from father’s family. I am female but my dad had leukemia when I was conceived then Hodgkins and lung cancer. Can a PV patient supplement with Glycine and NAC?

Somewhere I read that Glycine and NAC would help PV patients to reduce platelet levels and help with fatigue. I am concerned these should not create any side effects on PV patients. Yes, hoping that someone will answer. Thank you for your reply😊
