DUD Hardys only ever ran with it because of the terribleness and cringe value of that home-taped story. It's kind of the level of popularity Santino had, because he was legit a great, really funny comedian (in a terrible way), who had every place in comedy but not exactly someone you'd be used to see in wrestling. Decay? Meh. Zombie gimmicks tend to work because of the creativity curve and the visuals, but it's been done many a time, and as Adam says, people get bored of it quickly. That's why Sister Abigail really shouldn't be one particular person. More like a recurring theme.
