Venya, I am a native speaker from California and I teach my accent and how we really speak here. I have to say, you are very impressive and there are only a few tiny things I can notice that would be different from a native speaker. I love the video, it can in fact be done and you are excellent proof of it. We need to stop being scared of and mystifying the American accent. Keep up the content and advice!

These are mostly things based on frequency of use. He has everything down but there are times where its not applied, this is hard when speaking off the top of ones head or presenting like this. These are things that do happen in other accents and are differences from what my accent is. This is just based off this one video and what’s different from people from my area. A native with my accent would include the following, in no particular order of importance: 'To' linked and being converted to /d/ , less times where its /too/ with True T Stop T would occur more, especially on words that end on NT. More Stop D and less aspiration on /d/ at the end of syllables. Making sure stop D is stop D rather than Stop T Words with ST at the end not having a true T sound. Reducing 'is' to a linked /s/ or /z/ , 'are' to a linked /r/ More T + Y = CH / D + Y = J EE staying more true 'Your' 'We're' 'for' 'or' being reduced to schwa + R No aspiration nor schwa on /v/ at end of syllable Even more linking Less /tHee/ even before vowels Becomes, before 'be' being reduced to schwa Literally other than this spot on extremely impressive non-regional American accent. This man has a special talent. I could make a super long list of all the things he does perfectly that are very difficult and mastered by only a few. @@annarybina8818

Hey Venya! Been following you for about 7-8 years now. You're a huge inspiration! Do you give any personal classes these days by chance? For C1-C2 speakers just to fine-tune some tweaks here and there. Just curious.
