This is more a question about the RNG in video poker machines. It may also apply to video Keno machines. Anyone can respond. When the play button is pressed it is my understanding that the RNG 'spits' out a set of five cards for that moment. These cards are randomly selected by the programmed RNG. My question : is it that only the first five cards are randomly selected, and then after deciding what to hold another random event takes place that produces the drawn cards, or is it that both the five cards dealt first together with a series of follow up cards ( based on all possible combinations of what cards could be held)? The follow up cards are then selected from that series based on the player selection of 0 to 5 cards to hold?

Do you recommend playing the poker games like ultimate X and super times pay which play multiple hands have multipliers. Those games play much more volatile with some of the types of games they offer like double double and triple double bonus

Those games raize the overall payback so they are good features to play however the increased volatility means you need a bigger bankroll to survive the swings. Also many people do not realize but ultimate x has some changes to the strategy over normal vp.

I would say if you want more excitement than play STP, ultimate x is VERY streaky, much more so than STP.

They are the same but 3 and 5 play have lower variance. Which just means the swings(ups and downs) arent as big

I play slots and have better success. The secret is you have to play when the casino increases the payback percentage. You can tell by walking around the casino you notice people are hitting the bonus more than usual. You see more hand pays than usual then it's time to play. ✌️😁

First things first you need a bankroll.. you know a huge circular bundle of 5 10s 20s 50s and hundreds.. and the experience to know your way around a 52 card deck.. and the ability to read others facial expressions hand movements eye movements so on and so forth until you perfect that you're going nowhere

BS! You have to hit the Draw Button at the right time. Video Poker is Garbage like slot machines. It’s luck more than skill. You’re always given a pair of 5 for example; hold the 5s and draw either a Two Pair or nothing at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There is no money in it and if you win $1200 or more, you’re taxed! Not worth it!

Boyd used to be very generous with comps for players but unfortunately they no longer give those really good comps. We get out to Vegas at least twice a year and stay about a Monty and have been going since the mid 1990's. We learned how to play from Bob Dancer's software which helps tremendously. The Orleans has always been my favorite as far as huge choices of 9/6 DDB VP. Lately it has turned into quite a dirty hotel. I guess most of Vegas smells like pot now which is a shame because you can basically get high just walking down the halls of each floor. 🤢🤮
