After going down the Rabbit Hole of trying to find the fastest route to getting a degree, I found your channel. I dug deeper and deeper into the whole thing. I've managed to knock out 50 Sophia credits in just under a month. (Yes, it takes a lot of work, but it's not difficult. You just have to be highly motivated and plan which courses to take based on touchstones) I'll be taking those and my previously earned credits over to UMPI. Let's see if I can do it in 6 months from my start date! Thanks for your content.

Can you talk about UMass (University of Massachusetts)? I'm interested in a translation and/or language interpretation major, but no college besides them seems to have it online! (As interdisciplinary studies) Help! 😭 I don't even know if it's international friendly, sorry to bother.

Let's say a school takes credits from everything Clep, Sophia, DSST, etc. would you say there's a best option? like if I can get my english credit from anyone is there one that you would say is best?
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
Good question. CLEP is the cheapest if you use Modern States, Sophia is the fastest. DSST is a good backup. That's usually how I look at it. Note that Sophia is also pretty cheap, and CLEP is also pretty fast. I find most of my clients prefer Sophia, but I personally would want to take more CLEP since I get to decide when I'm done studying.

Oh, for sure! Sophia and CLEP will be your best friend. Study.com is the big one for some of those very picky upper level credits. I would really recommend checking out the relationship there. My team would be happy to help you build a plan! www.collegehacked.com

What do you recommend for an older visually-impaired adult on SSDI who hasn’t worked in 7 years and hasn’t taken any college classes in over 20 years, who is looking to become self-sufficient?
@TheMrbynum862 жыл бұрын
Colleges are required to make accommodations for you. It's a law. So I would find the easiest and quickest degree that checks the box so I can start work. Also, figure out what you want to do and what you can do. I think there are plenty of option. Best of luck to you

I'm not sure that it is under $4k around it yes and there should be extra money spent towards Sophia and or Clep correct?
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
If you knock out all your UMPI courses in 16 weeks, that leaves $1,200 for CLEP and Sophia. And CLEP itself can be free if you do it right. So $1,200 for Sophia, Study.com, and StraighterLine is very manageable. If someone did it right, they'd have money leftover.

I have Canadian Credits that are from 1998 to 2016. I have an associates. I am American and Canadian, but never attended a US College/University. So if my associates degree is 7 years old, but i have about 86 credits in total... So i am wondering if my older credits expire that i took in business and administration. Or do i wait and see how each credit transfers through a Assessment?
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
Great question. Credits don't expire. It's all about what the college you are applying to will accept.

Very few colleges require specific courses be done with them. Most of them just say any 25% of the degree.
