I have a friend that has always owned and rode Harley's. I personally never liked them myself so I've always owned metric bikes. He got in a wreck and his Harley got totaled and he took a break to heal for a few months. He was starting to look at new bikes when this all exploded. Instead of buying a new Harley he got a Honda Goldwing instead. When he dropped in for breakfast and saw me he came over to tell me about his new Honda. He said he now understood why I always rode metric bikes. He admitted his Goldwing was way better than any Harley he had ever owned and rode and he's never going back even if Harley fired the CEO and Board Members responsible for the crap going on at Harley Davidson.

Both bikes brand new 88 sporty and a 2010 street glide. I don’t understand you buy an expensive bike with the warranty that they recommend and then it’s not honored. I took a Royal Enfield Super Meteor on a 4000 mile trip through the US last summer, I have no complaints and its love of 87 octane comes in handy in more remote areas where its often all thats available. If you're looking for a simple, low priced Harley alternative with some good looks and every bit as much heritage, its not a bad way to go as long as you dont mind topping out at about 95ish MPH.

The money Harley Davidson gives to organizations that support men in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms along with exposing children to adult matters means I won’t support corporate by buying a new bike or financing a used one. They can keep all their gear and clothing as well. A lot of motorcycle KZbinrs have sided with HD and just want people to shut up about this so I appreciate your time and attention.

I don't want or need lane assistance on my car/truck and I don't want or need all of these new bells and whistles that HD has been putting on bikes for years. I looked at Indian this past weekend and I would say the same thing. I don't want/need a remote luggage bag lock. Nor do I want to pay for that or have to order my bike a certain way. I put 50,000 miles on an '08 Sportster and I think I am gonna go get an old panhead, without remote anything. I want my knees in the wind on an air cooled v twin. Yeah I'm old and I'm ok with that too.

That’s why I like my EVO’s! For new bikes look at an Indian Springfield or Harley Road King. You can add a bat wing or other fairing to the road king as well as lowers and a tour pack if your going full dresser.

I have 3 bikes and 3 reasons I don't care 1 is a 1968 pre AMF Harley 2 is a 1995 after AMF Harley 3 is a 2005 pre woke Harley twO years before the current CEO came on board. Bottom line I bought them all used no dealership. Cash money I have worked on bikes for years I love my bikes they haven't done anything to me except give freedom of the road and great adventures peace of mind. Being a lifelong motorcyclist who never desired owning a Harley, but had tons of respect them due to their heritage (key word 'had'), it's painful to see what they've done TO THEMSELVES. Keep your Harley. Appreciate it. If you want another, the market is flooded with used Harleys. You could live the rest of your life purchasing Harleys and never having to buy a new one. Even better yet, get an Indian. Personally I ride Euro bikes. I'm very pro American, but no American manufacturer accommodates what I want in a bike. Good luck, and thanks for the video.

HD’s CEO has made several big mistakes which hurt the company’s reputation. The worst in my mind is calling himself “the Taliban”. Many of the people who ride Harleys are military. He just called himself (multiple times) an enemy of the US military. How stupid can a person be? I’ve been looking into Indian and BMW so far. I will look into a few others too.

The problem with the boycott plan is that lack of sales is already driving Harleys current agenda. The “ traditional” Harley customers just don’t buy enough bikes to keep the company going in its traditional way. Harley are caught in a Catch 22 with traditional customers who demand they don’t change but not enough of them to support the company for the long term. Unless Harley diversify their range and their image to attract a broader range of younger customers they will fail as their traditional customers fade away through old age and death.

More sensible solutions. The overt, in your face boycott won't work, it'll just tank your bike's resale values. You want to stop supporting the brand, cool, but keep your yapper shut so everyone can sell off their garage queens first. There are people with bank notes on these things. Personally, the brand went to pot years ago. All the safety recalls, the closing of the US plants, parts on backorder for a whole riding season, ripoff dealerships--I mean Jesus.

Yep, have loved the brand since I was a kid. Owned a Twincam. Sold it, bought an EVO. The factory no longer produces parts for my motorcycle. The dealerships won't work on my motorcycle. So I have no use for Harley Davidson, the factory. If they stopped the woke bullshit, it wouldn't matter to me. They are selling cheap crap. I'll never spend my money on anything that says Harley Davidson.

It’s a sealed case transmission made by Mazda for Ford. $5.5k to replace. I parked it, paid it off then junked it.

I don’t like statements the CEO has made that Harley will be 100% electrified, giving the consumer no choice in the matter. I don’t like how the CEO has no regard for sustainability of the Harley Davidson heritage. If moving forward the employees are “stuck” manufacturing what the current leadership WANT us to purchase and the dealers are “forced” to sell undesired models equipped with undesired motors should I give them my hard earned money in pity? As if I’m donating to a charity because of my brand loyalty? I hope to not be at this crossroad in the future. But it takes more than hope to ensure that future doesn’t happen.
