Hey Hank, appreciate you standing out in the rain giving us the rundown on this rig. I’ve taken so much of what I’ve learned from you out on the water & had results. Not always great, but still results. That’s just fishin.#100percentwatchsquad👊

Best video I’ve seen for FFS and the Damiki. I’m my opinion, you make the best informative videos on fishing. From equipment to techniques and then retrieve, and what not to do. Huge fan and you’re also in my next of the woods.

Yes your spot on. The only real benefit to it that I see is that the weight is hidden and it’s more subtle in clear water
@Davo2233 Жыл бұрын
Id like to suggest that you take a look at Matt Stephan and Johnny Shultz’s“😮Core Tackle’s” “Hover Rig” and “tush” swim bait heads. They are on Tackle Warehouse and they are incredibly innovative. Swim bait jig heads in multiple weights and lots of weights. Not to mention, the current king. An all new way to fish the hover stroll system. 💯 more efficient and effective!Whats amazing about these two peices of terminal gear is that there is absolutely no lead or any other weight visible because your lure fits right over it! Fabulous for flipping, pitching and especially skipping!
@BassGeek Жыл бұрын
Nope! It’s a gimmick you can Hoover this if the bait the setup is right and the Hoover rig is the same to me as a Tokyo rig it’s a glorified drop shot
@Daiwa_Is_King5 ай бұрын
😂😂😂 Japan has been doing this for ages it’s nothing new. The core tackle rig is a money grab nothing more nothing less.

What's the difference between the Dimiki and Hover technique?
@BassGeek Жыл бұрын
Just the head truthfully. You can make this bait hover (I've been doing it for years) plus you can't get the heavier hooks and weight in the hover stuff. I just feel the hover is more a light shallower deal. I and most prefer this way
@bradhensley1134 Жыл бұрын

Good video, however you missed a key point on the actual rig Wheeler is using, If you look closely he's using a head with a different hook eye angle. This tends to destabilize the bait and also impart a rolling action that can't be had with a 90 degree line tie.
@BassGeek Жыл бұрын
That’s why you tie a loop knot. Been doing it for years. Literally tightlining before live scope. Go watch a video with Ott Defoe on 3B outdoors. The same year Casey won the classic in SC Defoe was tight lining those suspended bass. Trust me that’s just a 60degree line tie and you can get the SAME out of a 90. Don’t drink the cool-aid. I mean Gussy on the TN River twice and Joey Nanina on Ufalia in the open. Both 90 degree line ties. It’s all the same.

Nope he won hovering the Rapala Freeloader on a moon eye jig. That’s another rig that to me is more about getting the angler to buy crap. With the right line headweight and plastic you can “Hoover” a Damiki rig. That to is the point of this video.

Everything on KZbin is about clickbait...he says Secret Custom bait...you say nope its the rig...both getting views...Ultimately he was the best fisherman that day and figured em out...He's an incredibly gifted angler. And you say in the comments "just to get fishermen to buy crap" ...He has to promote his sponsors just as you do on every video...I like you both but dont hate the best...

Lol this wasn’t hate I was just pointing out that it Disney matter if ya use a zman, a Damiki, a bassmunitions, or whatever. Look it YOU the viewers that has forced the “Clickbait”. I can show you the numbers and analytics that says a simple how to gets crap views and fishing videos LOL! There’s a reason why I don’t do them but once a month at best. I hate clickbait but don’t hate the player hate the game and you the views dictate the playing field.
