The girls were all 19-21 years old when they debuted in 2016. BABYMONSTER has underage members. They are not any more original than BLACKPINK, they're from the same company and follow the same formulas, just with different songwriters and producers (not that it's a bad thing, just different). If you're not feeling BLACKPINK than you probably won't enjoy BABYMONSTER either. K-Pop doesn't need to have a message or a deep meaning (it is "Pop" after all), some music is just meant to be fun, or swaggy, or chill.

I have seen so many reactors like you guys. You guys arent familiar with kpop, alrdy have your OWN perceptions on the genre and refuse to give them a chance. Thats all. And so you can just react to what you guys are comfortable with. If blackpink aint satisfying you I dont think any kpop group can satisfy you. Because there are 2 biggest kpop group that are famous worldwide, BTS and blackpink. BTS and blackpink styles of music are the closest to western music too. And if you dont like them, then you will most likely not like other kpop group. And also you mention babymonster right? Blackpink is their senior and literally their idol 😂 Without blackpink there will be no babymonster. When babymonster debut, they even said it looks like another blackpink because of how similar their music are. I bet if its western music with repetitive non sensible lyrics, you would have singing it like an anthem.

Brother, trust me we don't want you to "know all the history" about the group you're reacting to, but the fact that you did "Pink Venom" reaction before (you mentioned it yourself in your shut down reaction) then you did the "Babymonster" reaction and I'm pretty sure there were plenty of comments under those videos telling you about "who blackpink are" and "how big they are"... Atleast I'm 100% sure there were comments saying they're the "South Korean Girl Group" and "They're the brand ambassadors of this this nd this brands" cos I definitely know that we blinks love to brag about them. So, you calling them "Chinese" and "was their clothes real or not" is literally seems like you're doing it deliberately and trying to mock them and that's why we were mad at you.

Hi guys! I recently found your channels and I'm looking forward to your future K-pop (Korean popular music) reactions. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with not liking an artist's music, it happens. I've been listening to Korean music for over 10 years now and I can tell you that there are a lot of unique and talented groups and soloists out there, you just have to find the right one for you. For example (and I'm only writing groups where you don't have to worry about age): Girl groups: (G)I-dle, 2NE1, Mamamoo, Dreamcatcher, Aespa, Sistar, F(x), Apink, EXID, Big Mama, BVNDIT, CLC, CRAXY, Davichi, Secret, Formis_9, GFRIEND, Girls Generation, Kiss of life, Ladies' code etc Soloists: Ailee, Taeyeon, Kim Sejeong, Jessi, IU, Chungha, Heize, Boa, Hyuna, Sunmi This is just the tip of the iceberg and all female performers. There are hundreds of other performers that can be discovered, of which I have only listed a few. It's also important to know that some groups start with a completely different concept and change over time, or age can be a factor in the style of music they release, the latter is the case of Apink, you can notice that in their earlier days they had more cutesy, cheerful music, now they release a more mature sound. Also, if you're unsure whether the artists are adults or minors, I think a quick google search will do no harm, so there's no doubt. I should also add that sometimes the main theme songs of a given artist are very similar in style and there is more diversity among the other songs on their albums. One more tip, if you want to see/hear more variety in the music style of some artists, I recommend the killing voice videos. This is a newer thing that started a few years ago, but I think it's perfect for exploration. However, unfortunately not all videos have subtitles. Finally, in the case of kpop, you'll often find that genres change several times within a song (e.g. hip hop changes to R&B) or several genres are mixed in one song (e.g. rock and reggaeton), which I find very interesting, but not everyone is the same. In any case, I hope that, if you are interested in exploring the world of k-pop, you will find the genre and artists that appeal to you. Love from Hungary💚 P.S. Thank you for the reaction. People were mad about the last reaction because for them they are their pride. Blackpink helped lots of people to be confident in thier life. So please give constructive criticism if you don't like the lyrics or beat and its okay if its not your taste. The viewers of this reaction is obviously Blackpink fans and they don't want to listen rude comments. BP has huge fanbase, if you react nicely you would get tons of views instantly.

I think you need to react Blackpink Documentary Light up the sky netflix so that you'll have some background about the girls. But if ever you react on it, dont include the dude with a cap. You guys asked a lot of good questions that if you do some research, you will understand BP and KPOP more. There are many boy and girl groups that have different styles, just like in any other country in the world. America is just one of the many countries in the world, and is not the whole world. It'll help you guys if you explore the world. Bt the way, Netflix has a documentary on BP that was released a few years back that will give you some background. BP has grown and achieved much more globally since then, but you should still watch it.

You asked what this is about. Well there are no less than 5 KZbin videos explaining the significant Greek mythological symbolism and feminist messaging in this song (may fav is "British Priest Reacts to Blackpink). This mv is one big FU to all their haters. If you are at all curious about the depth of symbolism and meaning in this video read on, otherwise just ignore. On a first level, Blackpink is talking smack to their haters (and they have alot). Haters in kpop have driven numerous Kpop idols to suicide in recent years through their fanatical social media attacks. Lisa has been threatened with racist threats of physical violence such that the Thai Embassy in Seoul felt compelled to get involved. So when they say "Look at You", they are saying "you miserable ugly hateful loser who adds nothing but negativity to this world". And when they say "Now Look at Me" , they are saying "I am beautiful, successful, bringing light to the darkness that you bring, giving hope and inspiration to all my fans around the world, especially girls and young women in impoverished third-world countries dominated by hateful males like you." On a much deeper level, and one of the things that Western reactors often overlook is the significant depth and symbolism that has been woven into this MV. You should view the KZbin Video "British Priest Reacts to How You Like That" where a Cambridge University (yep, the one in England) graduate in Greek Classism goes scene by scene explaining the symbolism, basically having to do with female empowerment and overcoming male subjugation and oppression (and whether that may or may not exist today in Western countries, it definitely exists today in the Third World). Each member is a different Greek Goddess and daughter of Zeus that overcame horrible trials and tribulations. For example, when Rose is being lowered on a bed of flowers she is channeling Persephone, who was kidnapped while picking flowers and dragged to hell and forced to marry Hades (similar to what happens today to a number of young women in third world countries). Near the end of the MV Rose is depicted in front of the wings statute (actually Nike, the statute of Triumph) saying you should have killed me when you had the chance because now she has become a winged avenger. Her 3 other members are also posed in front of the Nike statute, showing how they have transformed from powerless victims at the beginning of the MV into powerful avengers, the Erinyes also known as the Furies, female chthonic deities of vengeance in ancient Greek religion and mythology. You picked up on the Superman reference (Look up in the sky...), said right as Superman is about to lay waste to the villains. Well, that's Blackpink/Winged Furies coming to lay waste to their haters. There are at least 4 other KZbin videos going in depth explaining the symbolism in this video. Once you get to Kill This Love go view "British Priest Reacts to Kill This Love" where they discuss how Freudian psychology is being depicted and reflected in the struggles between the various sides of each member's psyche (Id, Ego, and SuperEgo) in the context of a toxic love affair. At least these 2 MV's are not just pretty girls surrounded by pretty scenes and cool beats. BP is always messaging in their MVs.

what i just don’t get.. is that you’re open to reacting to things you’ve never listened to before, but be closed-minded when you actually react to it. a good reaction video would be the reactor actually try to understand the artist and not just be like “why does this have a billion views” it clearly has more than a billion views for a reason. “why was this song made” have you ever considered that not all songs have to be about politics, or an individuals experiences.. but maybe just a song to get people to dance? maybe people like to be taken out of the world of social media anxiety and political racket with music. that’s what makes them blackpink. and with the “cock back” point.. right.. she’s probably never held a gun before. you listen to rap… do you think rappers in their song actually shoot people like it’s regular for them? in many cases, these lyrics shouldn't be taken literally. it's important to recognize the distinction between artistic expression and real-life actions, so the music isn’t influencing you to shoot people 😂 thank god you won’t react to blackpink again because you’ll just never understand the culture and why people like it. it’s clearly not fun for you or for anyone, BORING!!!
