just to add my experience, on 4/5th july 2019. i started my yoshida climb after 6pm, it started to rain around 8pm. temperature at the police kiosk around 5th station is 10degC/50F. with the wind moving the rain sideways, i only took short (10-15mins) rest at each station until the 8th station. imagine doing continuous ice bucket challenge. after sunrise, i turned back where the Yoshida and subashiri paths meet(just after the 8th station) the trail after the 8.5th station was under maintenance anyways. things i didnt expect: my waterproof bag was only internally waterproof, the sponge padding wasnt sealed so it carried "extra" rainwater. my powerbank stops working due to the low temperature, i was using it to power my shoulder floodlamp. i still had a headlamp at least. using a breatheable rain coat is pointless. after exterior is soaked, it will trap your sweat. the trapped sweat is what will give you hypothermia.

Great vid bro!! I didn’t realize that many people hiked it at one time. From everything I’ve seen, you def need to reserve a bed in the hut places up there. I’m sure it was bone chilling cold. Hope to see more of your adventures around Japan!

@@katalystkat I'm honestly not sure as I don't live in Japan anymore :( so I think it would be a spur of the moment decision. What route did you take?

What season/date did you climb? Looks pretty crowded. But definitely worth it.
