Healthy self love is a healthy understanding you are worthy of that back. If you are capable of giving it to yourself someone is capable of giving it to you you were capable of giving to another so you are capable of giving to yourself too. Healthy self love is not putting up armor but healthy boundaries. Boundaries change and adjust and sometimes have confrontations but respecting yourself first helps others to learn to respect you and welcome in those that will. The people you will be blocking are the ones that were only self interest

Jeez I felt the same.. I missed my ex really bad the first two month then I hesitate to want her, now I'm so happy with my freedom,peace and the very low life cost of living. Lol.. I don't want to get marry ever again.

I never begged my ex, I accepted it and had no contact at all. He showed up on my doorstep 17 days later. Following day, he called. I expect to hear from him again but I am not sure I want him now.

I pleaded and begged for about 3 months after the breakup. We do have kids together and I was trying to bring my family back together however after seeing her and she couldn't stand looking at me. Nor did she want to discuss and resolve the resentment and hatred towards one another. I knew at that moment that I had to let her go and that's exactly what I did. I realised that I was sacrificing my inner peace for something that has been or could have been. This was when I realised that my inner peace was far more important to me than trying to get back something that I lost. One of the hardest parts is forgiving yourself and moving forward knowing that you were the one to blame for the breakup.

So my ex immediately got into a new relationship (or monkey branched into it?), she broke up with me 3 weeks ago. I didn't know about the NC thing and after 2 weeks, I asked her how she's feeling, to which she replied she's not sure and when I probed further, she told me she's having issues with her new bf and that made her miss me. Obviously I overreacted and told her if she's already having issues she should consider coming back, which was a mistake (again, didn't know about the whole NC strategy back then). I kinda wonder though what's up with that? Why did she tell me about issues and that she misses me? Is it genuine? Is it a good sign?
