You and your family are awesome. So glad I found this channel. Watching your vids brings back countless memories of bailing hay on our family farm in Oxford,OH in the heat of suumer and filling the lofts. I think my favorite part of farm life was being able to walk out to the milk house in the morning and crack that thin layer of ice that would form on top the holding tank and scoop out a fresh pitcher of milk for breakfast. There's nothing like it.

When we were growing up, my parents would can somewhere north of 100 individual quart jars of tomato juice just for our immediate needs, and probably at least as much again for the rest of the family. Dad would grow tomatoes with wire cages. The last year I helped before leaving for work, there were over 300 cages, and we ran out before 2/3 of the plants were in the ground. I didn't understand it at the time, but Mom later explained that Dad hated the mess involved with canning tomato juice and so just made sure to plant enough tomato plants that whenever he was good and ready to do the canning, there would be enough tomatoes on the vine at the appropriate ripeness level that he could do it all in a single weekend. He didn't mind tilling in the leftovers for the next year's garden as long as we got the cages out first :)
