This is one of the more riveting and fascinating videos I've seen in awhile here, and hosted by a fantastic guest; always been intrigued by vision-as-reality because I've had odd visual field anomalies my whole life, most of which no one seems able to explain and it definitely impacts how I interact with, or understand, my reality vs others. Thank you.

What a genuinely nice man. Love what he says at the end, brought happy tears to my eyes 🥲 I am glad some branches of science are recognizing this, that we do live in different realities. Next up: how it IS possible to change your reality. I did it & anyone can do it. Very exciting stuff. Thank you kind sir for this presentation 💜

OMG. Awesome presentation. The underlying themes carry even far beyond just visual differences.

First time I hear that some women can see 4 basic colors instead of 3 (which most people see). That's fascinating! Gotta research more about this. It would also be interesting to explain the evolutionary reason such trait would evolve in the female part of humanity.

Different People have Different Visions. Kinda like a Zoetrope; and/or a Dream, - or a Mirage.. Some Visions (however) are Healthier than Others.

The human brain constructs reality based on sensory input, particularly vision. The brain relies on senses to interpret the world, with each person experiencing it differently due to variations in their sensory systems. Vision issues like myopia and color blindness exemplify these differences. The "dress" phenomenon shows how perceptions of the same object can vary. Colors are interpretations of electromagnetic wavelengths by the brain, not inherent in nature. These interpretations vary, creating unique realities for each individual. Despite these differences, people generally agree on a shared reality, promoting understanding. The message encourages recognizing and appreciating the diversity of human perceptions, advocating for empathy and kindness in acknowledging that each person’s reality is uniquely shaped by their senses.

“There is no colour in the world.” “Colour is a shared illusion.” What’s wild to me is that those are considered controversial concepts in 2024. To see clearly in the darkness so as to light the way for others is what I’m coming to realize this shared reality/illusion is likely all about. Without the darkness there can be no light - scientifically and spiritually, which I am finding are two sides of the same coin. Thank you for this amazing video!🙏

A very interestingly informative talk. Well explained the linkages of vision to personal reality. Rift could occur due to difference in the instrument or the process. Giving compassion to other realities for a better composed/ shared reality is is worth emulating. Enjoyed, thank you!

This all makes me wonder what reality looks like from an outside perspective. If we could somehow borrow the view of our reality as a sort of out of body experience. What would that be like? And also considering that nothing is solid. Everything is in motion regardless if we can notice the motion or not. Incredibly fascinating.

Just wondering about this last night before I dozed off. Didn’t look it up, but here we are. Algorithmic serendipity or manipulation? Maybe it’s a matter of perception…

I enjoyed the show it was both informative and fun. Philosophically, it is true that our views determine reality and are different for each one. According to the speaker, scientifically people see colors differently and their basic understanding of color is different so how can we make people see a common reality(color) in that scenario?

This is why I think "heaven" is among us. We can't see the colours or sounds (because we also only hear specific wavelengths.)

@INFINITY_117 humans can only see and hear within a specific range, so what I'm saying is that the afterlife isn't some far away place, but exists with us. Among us in other spectrums that we can't comprehend- like the turtle that can see 7 colors.
