Yvonne was a woman I would've liked to have known on a personal level. She was a beautiful lady, who had to go through a string of relationships to find one that was worth a damn. She always knew what she wanted or needed. She was a " real " woman through and through. I loved her. Today, she would not be thought of as promiscuous, but an intelligent and discriminating woman, who was always in touch with herself and didn't settle for less than what her own standards deserved. She was very perceptive and could spot a disingenuous person almost instantly. Her interests varied a great deal in her personal life. She was at home at a Hollywood gala, but the next day could be found, equally at home, in the outdoors on a hunting trip, as she handled firearms very well. She was a well-rounded person that loved life and attempted to make full use of it. She was, far and away, one of the most attractive of celebrities in all of entertainment history.

Worth checking out is the late 1940's noir "Criss-Cross" staring Burt Lancaster, Dan Duryea, and DeCarlo. She looks amazing in this film and much of it was filmed on location in the Bunker Hill section of Downtown Los Angeles. A must see for history buffs and crime-noir fans.

When stated that the role was played by Beverly Owens for the first 15 episodes is actually in reference to Marilyn Munster, NOT LILLY!!!!! Beverly "Marilyn" was replaced by Pat Priest after 15 episodes all the way through the end of the series.

In my view, Ms. De Carlo was a unique and exotic beauty, who could act, but never got the roles nor breaks she deserved, drowning in a sea of several other actresses who got more than they deserved via nefarious means, somewhat. De Carlo used her pretty head, or she would not have been as successful as she was. In The Ten Commandments, I doubt any other actress could have cast the favorable shadow she did on that role, with thos luminous, beautiful blue eyes shining in the film, even in the dark. She was just perfect.
