I play a league and it happened in reverse, so it went in and around the side pocket, onto the rail, down into the corner. The legality comes from whether you had to call the pocket or not. 9 ball-legal 10 ball-option 8 ball-same as a missed shot and goes to next person

@@Joshdottee as long as the object ball ends up on the bed of the table without the aid of a person you could bounce it off the light and pot it if you can and it's legal, it could jump off table hit someone on the back and land back on table go in the pocket and still be legal, but if someone did you know like a volley ball move or something to "force" it back onto the bed it's a foul, but it generally depends on what rules you play by, I played 3 different leagues and they all had their own little tweaks on certain things, always best to ask what rules your playing before hand, most people were laughing so much they didn't care, "one of those things" sometimes you get an asshole, it depends if there is a no jump rule as well as in cant leave the bed, it just depends on location or league really

No, it wouldn’t count, in real billiards you have to call your shot pocket, meaning that when you shoot you have to call which pocket it’s going to go into otherwise the ball is void.

Depends on which league you're in, if you were in the APA, then yes it would've counted. But if you were in the BCA then the answer is no.
