Could you please do a video on how to wire two (or more) bulbs to one switch? So by flicking on one switch two or more bulbs switch on/off

Sorry for the random question but are upstairs lights usually connected in series, in one, then out to next light? Noticed bathroom spots not working and room ceiling rose. Other room spots are working.. Could be bulbs but if one bulb goes does that mean rest of lights further down that circuit wont work?

@how2d2 Hi i have an external light that has a plug on it to turn it on and off. I want to put a switch on it. The light is plastic. Ive noticed that the wire connection has no earth wire in it, is this a problem? Do i need to rewire the the whole light to earth it? Or could i just use earthed cable from plug to switch and then leave existing cable (live and neutral) from switch to light? Or just add a switch and it will be fine?

Why do one way switches work with either the neutral or live in the com and l1 they come on eitherway

These. Type of splice is frowned up in us code since having a box containing switch leg and hot without a neutral. Generates too much heat and that box according to us looks like a pancake which is supposed to contain only one cable like some old work boxes and a utility / handy box also wire connections. Either use wire nuts. Crimps. or recently wegos and in the past spliced soldered and taped which most electricians. Nowadays would find a rather daunting task since some those splices could have been western. Union or tapspliced types of splices instead of the normal pigtail variety .i personally have not seen any thing other than pigs tail utilizing wire nutswires and crimps can not say I have not seen sodered western Union or tap in any thing other the nightmare of knob and tube wiring
