The 2nd edition of Boxes, The Secret Life of Howard Hughes is now published with new evidence, pictures, and interviews; which further confirms Eva McLelland's story that Howard Hughes did not die in 1976, but lived under another identity, finally passing away in 2001. In his later years Hughes was described as emaciated and appeared to be 20 years older than his age. It is now clear, he appeared older, because he was not Hughes. For decades, Hughes was living under another identity provided by the CIA, he was married to a woman who kept his secret, living much of the time in Alabama, until his actual death. The confusion surrounding Hughes’ final decades is solved. The richest man in America needed to hide, had the resources to buy whatever he wanted, and found a loving woman to keep the secret. The new book is available on amazon.com and writelife.com. Enjoy the continuing mystery with the new evidence. Mark Musick

Hughes inherited his fathers tool(drill bits for drilling oil) company at age 18 or 19, but he was not supposed to gain control of it until he becomes of age. Hughes takes it to court and the judge is so thrilled with Hughes intelligence and business prowess that he says Hughes can start to run the business right away. Early proof of his genius.

I'm sure a few people know a thing or two about Hughes' secrets, but he had an intense romantic relationship and enduring friendship with actress Katharine Hepburn. He bought the rights to The Philadelphia Story for her and paid off a photographer who had compromising photos of her and Spencer Tracy in the 40's. Not much more is said.

How do you make rabbit stew? First, "you have to catch the rabbit." Mr. Hughes was the rabbit. I worked for Mario Zamparelli who worked for Bill Gay who worked for Mr. Hughes. Our offices were above a barber shop on Ventura Boulevard. Much of Summa was still intact. It was quite a ride and afterward I went back to UCLA where I worked toward a graduate degree graduating in 1981. The Los Angeles home Mr. Hughes owned in Hancock Park on Muirfield is still there and recently received historic distinction by the Office of Historic Resources, City of Los Angeles as a result of his former ownership.

Perhaps you didn't watch the full video or read the whole description below the "Show more." Here's some of what the description of the video says down there: Mark recounts what he learned about those 25 years from 10 years spent with Eva telling her story, going through her boxes of Howard's papers and conducting a careful investigation. Didn't you find Mark sincere? Think he could be fooled by a senile old lady? He'd been a leader of jet fighter pilots! Open your mind if you can!

I flew with Mark many times over my 14 years in the Nebraska Air National Guard. Mark was a back seater, technically a weapon systems operator, WSO, or "wizzo", flying the RF-4C Phantom II jet fighter. Our mission was gathering tactical intelligence information with a variety of internal sensors on enemy forces and capabilities. The mission required very high speed, very low altitude navigation to and from targeted areas to avoid enemy air defenses. That very hazardous flying necessitated close teamwork between the pilot and WSO to safely and successfully accomplish our assigned task. Mark was a meticulously superb aircrewmember in every respect, and a gentleman of unquestionably sound character and intellect. I am honored to call him a friend and comrade in arms! I have recently finished reading his book. When he gave me a copy at a recent squadron reunion, I was very surprised to learn of his uncharacteristic interest in Howard Hughes! I've now finished reading the book. I confess my great bewilderment at Mark's involvement with the Hughes saga at the outset and began reading with an admittedky skeptical bias. Had Mark gone daft in his post-retirement years? Nevertheless, as Mark's story unfolded about his chance meeting with Eva McClellan in the course of his duties with a charitable foundation, I began to read with an increasingly open mind. That Eva would entrust Mark with the intimate and bizarre details of her life of poverty with Howard Hughes is not surprising. Anyone who knows Mark will tell you that he exudes integrity and discretion. You don't get promoted to major general if your character is suspect. By the end of the book, I had become convinced by Mark and Doug's meticulous investigatory scholarship that they had proven their case beyond my reasonable doubt, despite it's incredible narrative! Surrounding the biographical accounts of great celebrities, particularly the reclusive types like Howard Hughes, much highly speculative and sensational claptrap is written for popular consumption and a quick buck. What makes Mark and Doug's work so compelling, besides the sheer surprise of Hughes' double identity life, especially after his supposed death, is a totally incongruous type of existence for one of the world's richest men to impose upon himself. Given Hughes' well documented eccentricity throughout his highly publicized early life, the story told in "Boxes" is highly believable, because it fits so perfectly. I commend it enthusiastically!

My Father went to work for Howard Hughes in 1959, He was in Hollywood at a Studio Mr. Hughes owned and to get paid you had to submit a Billing Statement that the Studio Operator dropped a basket from a window above. We were in El Segundo, California south of the Airport and we met him in 1962. Everyone understood he disliked shaking hands and was a germaphobe. I was 12 and his Aide asked my Father discreetly if I had a Cold or runny nose? When he said No they let me get near him. He was tall and thin as a rail. This guy holding the lecture is full of it.

In my younger years between 1959 and 1991, Howard Hughes has played a little role in my life as a "fairy godmother" type person. Having met with him a few times in other places I have only seen the reasonable down to earth person. Always tidy in appearance except for one occasion when he had only just hurriedly finished chatting with other "guests". My time for chat was more important. I have great respect for him as a friend. Though our meetings were few they were always interesting.

So , when Howard Hughes died in 1976 (the long-hair/long-fingernail guy), his multi-billion dollar estate was fought over and slowly dispersed over time. I don't know much about Hughes, but I do know that protecting his fortune and avoiding taxes was one of his main goals in life. So if this guys theory is true, you'd have to believe that Howard simply let his entire life's work get pilfered by a bunch of jackals. It's certainly an interesting story, but seems a little far fetched.

This is a nonsense. One, after Hughes died his wealth was fought over for years. It was analyzed and itemized very meticulously in the probate courts. The fight over his assets only ended in 2010. So, if he faked his death he lived the remainder of his life with no money. Two, Hughes was well known to be addicted to pharmaceuticals- namely codeine and valium. He suffered kidney disease- and likely liver disease- as a result. He was severely injured in an air crash and needed ongoing medical attention for his injuries.This fact is not addressed by this bullshit story of Hughes elderly years. Three, what happened to Hughes' germ phobia? Why would a fantastically wealthy individual - who loved the power and control his wealth afforded him- give it all up as an old man to live like a middle class person? He had never been anything but very wealthy. This is just corny.

I've known Mark Musick for four decades and can testify that he is a man of impeccable character and integrity. We flew the RF-4C Phantom together many times during my 14 years in the Nebraska Air National Guard. He was a superb weapon systems operator whom on many occasions as his pilot I depended upon for his expertise and wisdom in the conduct of very demanding and hazardous flying missions. I did, and would today, entrust him with my life. That we are alive and well today is silent testimony to the integrity and skill of aircrewmembers and leaders such as Mark Musick's. Reading some of the ill informed and gratuitous attacks on his character here in the "comments" section is disheartening to say the least. I have recently read Mark's book carefully, cover to cover. Admittedly I was very skeptical at the outset. Before reading it, I would have said that the story is literally unbelievable, initially challenging my intellectual credulity. Nevertheless, as the bizarre tale unfolded, and as Mark and Doug unveiled their scholarly investigation into the facts they uncovered, I became increasingly open minded. By the end of the book they had convinced me of its truth beyond any reasonable doubt. Mark is obviously not a gifted public speaker. He talks and thinks like an engineer. But the attacks on the veracity of his research and sincerity because of his speaking ability are entirely gratuitous and deplorable. It's fine to challenge the facts and opinions presented, but not to engage in ad hominum attacks on Mark's character simply because you disagree with him. When Mark gave me a copy of "Boxes" and related a very brief synopsis of the book, I frankly thought that he had gone a bit daft in his retirement years. Howard Hughes? Are you kidding me? It was totally out of character for the Mark Musick I had known so well in the Guard. But as the story of how a completely chance meeting with Eva McClelland had launched him into a ten-year quest to uncover the truth about the ultimate in reclusive tycoons of the 20th Century began to make sense. I urge you all to read the book with an open mind. If you consider the facts as presented, I think you will come to the same conclusion I did. I dont think Mark and Doug are resting since the publication of the updated edition of "Boxes". I am eager to learn what exploration of DNA evidence, if it becomes available from Nic's bone fragments in his still existing remains, can reveal in comparison to Howard's two known illegitimate offspring. Another promising source of clarification or confirmation would emerge if any of Nic's/Howard's shadowy entourage decide to come forward and break their long silence. Certainly some of them must still be living. The project must go on. Hughes' secretive professional career as a government consultant and contractor can tell us much that private citizens deserve to know about the clandestine behavior of their own government. The politicization of our Federal intelligence and law inforcement agencies demands that this important story be told.

I do not think he is being dishonest in any way, but I do believe he is 100% dead wrong. His evidence is non-existent and I don't think he has ever been provided with evidence either. Again, I think he honestly believes what he is presenting, but I think he has tragically been fooled. Perhaps by disinformation agents? After all, he is/was very much a part of the military industrial complex. He may have stumbled upon an initial secret, and then fed lies ever since. I feel for him and his family as they will have to endure the damage this will do to General Musick's legacy of service.

Howard Hughes, in total, was far to egotistical to ever fake his own death, he didn't care enough of what people thought of him to bother. Faking his own death was not going to help him financially, and that's really the final straw, Hughes was way too money motivated to ever throw away his fortune. He did pilot an aircraft, taking over the controls for about 20 minutes, he didn't land it or do the take off. He was always a great pilot, no biggie there, that does not mean he was in good health.

By some of the information I`ve heard when howard hughes crashed his plane in bel air ca. in 1949 and almost died he was injected with pain-killing drugs that in turn became addicted to and those painkillers was a great reason for his seclusion. This presentation is really very poor. If he is the "foremost researcher of HH" and all he has are verbal stories and a few un-substantiated, blurry photos, then I don't think "researcher" applies. This is a presentation for bored, weak-minded people who just want to believe in conspiracies or tales purely for entertainment. I find zero credibility in this presentation. For instance, at 41 minutes he just blurts out a story about a "Man who came to us and said". Pure garbage to sell books and get speaking engagements. IMO

These things are always based on "because we don't know....so and so must be the case," which is completely fallacious. I guess people trying to profit from Howard Hughes will never end! What a bunch of BS!

Interesting. A documentary noted HH's dad, along with another guy began a successful TOOL Co, which began with the invention of a drill bit to enable digging oil wells thru the rocks - and oil companies were thrilled - and THEN 'got into oil', naturally. Hence, I'm wondering what else is kinda skewed. Not 'bad', but inaccurate.

My interest in Mr. Hughes goes back to my childhood. I remember the fake memoir story. I think this all makes great theater. I do think "The Silverbullet" Was beautiful. Time's Yours !!!!!

Something to consider anyway. The whole broken hypodermic needles, old man ending never did seem that realistic to me, mainly because so many people wanted his money. BTW thank you for your service Mark.

How did he change his eye color 50 years ago? The explanation seems to be a real stretch. Any experts out there?
@maryhadley73735 жыл бұрын
chronodiver300 I was wondering the same thing. I saw these 2 inmates on a documentary once. They literally changed the color of their eyes with RED ink from a pen. It looked really scary. They said people leave them alone because they look like devils... & I agreed. The inmates said the color does not bleed or get flushed out by the body. But, they did not “ reflect “ . This is one crazy story huh?

He mentioned that he saw these barrels with "Howard Hughes'" clothes; were these worn? If so wouldn't a DNA sample be available? This would cost him his personal money, but, if it proves his point could also MAKE him money. With the medical advances of today, it is VERY POSSIBLE to do this. Also, money ALWAYS leaves a trail. I do not believe that a man raised with money could live without at least a small link to his VAST FORTUNE.

WOW. Since I worked with Jack Real at Hughes Helicopters and Jack was one of Howard Hughes' best and most trusted friends and because Jack was in charge to the group that brought Howard back to the US when he died, and Jack told me the story one day on a fight to Europe, I kind of think that this guy is a reincarnation of Melvin Dumar. Or just an idiot.

I was a believer of this story until this guy talked about replacing an eye iris to make eyes blue. If you all believe that porky then there's bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. Its pure BS, it can't be done, has never been done.

I dunno. I've been told by doctors it's possible. I dunno, however. My eyes have completely changed color in my lifetime -- they went from bright blue to brown. That was just natural -- also, I have no fingerprints, so go figure.

did they have needles back then? even prisoners in jail can color there eyes. you under estamate your CIA, they do things long before modern society even knows there even real. The laptops you see, they where using them long before the home computer was even out.

that is an amazing story. I see a lot of disbelief to go that incognito. Someone with my surname made that subject famous... secretly. anyway, I had basic clearance for flightline work, and it exceeded boundaries sometimes. its no big deal.. until you need to tell the truth. It will not be listened to. It would be cool to settle the hughes story with DNA.

Thanks for sharing Joe. Very plausible account presented. Question: Howard Hughes must have known and had some connection with the UFO activity/intelligence/technology but we never hear of it. Have you?

heard on Coast to Coast AM within the last 2 weeks (think it was when Alex Constantine was on, but can't swear to it) there was an actor playing Howard Hughes in Las Vegas because Howard, who actually had full control of his mental faculties, was at Area 51 working both with UFO's and atomic testing

Does this man on the video refers to the "Gemstone files" written by Bruce Roberts. According to this file, Howard Huges was kidnapped and kept prisoned and drugged in a bungalow in the Beverly Hills hotel, by Aristotle Onasis and the Mafia, from 1957 to 1966. And, still according to this file, he was replaced by a double named Wayne Rector or Bruce Randall. Which would explain many things, 2 different men, orders through telephone only, etc.. See also Mae Brussel explanation of this story.

the skeptics don't believe the theory posited here because it would mean that in order to pull this off Howard Hughes would have to have behaved in a way that is just too hard to believe... now that is funny.
@Viktoriskane919 жыл бұрын
Let's just pretend that this is all true. If Howard Hughes did fake his death and somehow managed to stay alive to the staggering age of 95 years old, which would be astonishing concidering all the injuries he got during his aviation days, then who cares, he was a private citizen with the right to be unknown if he wanted to and according to this little story he's been dead for the last fourteen years, so who gives a crap? Leave him be and let Howard Hughes be a memory of a great aviator, film producer, engineer and businessman. Side note. Concidering all of his injuries, I personally don't have a hard time believing that he became addicted to morphine and that correlates to all the reports about his way of life when he lived at the Sands in Las Vegas. Allthough, this story would make a great movie :)
@mitcheljc9 жыл бұрын
Viktoriskane91 Who cares? Its illegal to fake your death. So the cops or the FBI would the answer to your question.
@Viktoriskane919 жыл бұрын
Haven't seen your comment until now but anyway. It isn't illegal to fake your own death, not according to FBI Spokesperson Bill Carter. However, the things you will have to do after faking your own death might be illegal, for example: Evading state and federal taxes. Implicating someone in the pseudocide. Using a fake identification. But faking ones death itself isn't illegal. blogs.findlaw.com/blotter/2013/05/is-it-illegal-to-fake-your-own-death.html

Its already a movie 🎦 the star is Leonardo de caprio its a great movie BT it seems to correlate the mental health issues In to this story because as we all know Hollywood is used to program the thoughts and perception of its audience so all this could be entirely possible considering he was a movie maker always had the latest stars or if not he would create a new star in his pictures so if u take into fact he did comply with ww2 made plenty of planes ammo and supplies seems to me if he did fake his death he broke up his empire to take away suspicion off the cash flow a dead man can't claim his wealth but if he sold off the profit making companys then he can simply create an alias to collect it.. I watched a program stating he was watching a lot of TV when he turned into a recluse and wouldn't leave his bed.. Now take into fact he was a movie producer and he knew a lot about Hollywood and how it worked it just seems strange that a man as clever and with the recourses he had to sit al day and watch programmed pictures seems odd or reviewing material it is a strange story with myths one does wonder..
