A very beautiful great song about true love. This song was a massive big top 10 hit in the United States and Puerto Rico and also a big top 10 hit in Canada and a very big top 40 hit in the United Kingdom and Europe, also it was a top 10 hit in many Asian countries and Latin American countries, it was a very big hit worldwide, Howard Jones is a great talent but I agree that this song and his music was always most successful in the United States that was his biggest market and where he had the majority of his fans was also in the United States, however he did have a lot of fans worldwide and his music is still very much respected worldwide in the music industry and by music fans in every country on earth, the United States gave him his largest fan base and made him the most money. Still if he were to do a concert in England or Europe I am sure he would be well received to this day. He is a real music artist that makes real music and he has great singing vocals, he and his music will always be respected everywhere.

Back in 2006 I was a young man living with a bunch of bros in a house. Most of their attention was was directed to partying and hooking up. Not gonna lie, part of that lifestyle appealed to me at the time. One evening I was at the grocery store buying drinks for another party, and this kinda cheesy 80s song comes on the radio. This song. I swear, it changed my whole attitude. I didn’t want to hook up, I wanted an everlasting love. A friend. A lover. And this song was so reassuring, too - telling me to wait for it. Give it some time. So I did, and I moved out of that house not long after. And it didn’t take long for that love to come along. Thank you, Howard.

Beautiful comment bro! Too many people think the "fun life" gives them happiness. But what really is fun is having a soul mate and learning to treat another person as perfect as possible. The traditional values do bring happiness. Partying, drugs and sex desensitize robbing us of our ability to be satisfied with the only things that really matter.

I was working at a furniture store (Levitz) about 11 years ago, there was a KFC next door that I used to get lunch at sometimes, met this pretty little blonde that worked there, she gave me her phone number and I called her a couple times, met another girl and me and her just kinda fizzled out, it wasn't much to begin with, but this song was playing inside the KFC when I met her, and I'll never ever forget her because of that, and when I hear this it always makes me smile and think of her, and I hope she found someone great and her life is full of happiness and joy, much love from sunny California

I mostly went to see Paul Young who is one of my all time fav artists. But his setlist was short & kinda uninspired. He almost seemed bored to be there. He took it to church!! I was meditating , feeling on a pretty high wavelength, and the memory of this song popped up in my head. I haven't heard the song in possibly over 15 years. How rare is it for a song to sound so good, have good lyrical content? A song that your children can sing? And ... it really could be sung in church!

Genius, again. I think he's speaking of God's love. Just my opinion, you don't need to hate me or get all angry.
