Howard Keel Interview Part 3 1993

The final part of Howard's appearance on the 'Bruce Forsyth Show' sees him perform 'Old Man River' along with his host. I was fortunate to see Howard on this tour and his subsequent one in 1994. On each occasion there were no support artists, just Howard and a superb orchestra. At each performance he sang for 2 hours with an interval of 20 minutes. A remarkable achievement for a man in his mid 70's, particularly as he performed 35 nights without a break! He was in glorious voice and provided the audience with a taste of the golden age of Hollywood and Broadway.

I always remembered Howard keel from TV show Dallas. But I forgotten how great Singer he was.

Have just discovered this interview. Howard was such a sincere and humble person. His voice and acting reflected his sincerity _ no gimmicks. I believe all the great singers, Sinatra, Nat Cole - allowed their natural talent to grow to their greatness - for us to enjoy.

Have always loved Howard Keel, but I've also enjoyed his interviewer Bruce from his bit in 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' and as Julie Andrews' deadbeat dad in 'Star!'.
