I had the incredible privilege of interviewing Howard Marks. He was very generous with his time and knowledge. We talk macro, cycles, bonds, and yes... even #Bitcoin. Does he own any? Find out here. - Trey

Dividends from SCHD are generally taxed at the qualified dividend rate, which is often lower than ordinary income tax rates for many investors. Meanwhile, Nvidia remains a major market focus, driving a significant portion of the S&P 500's recent gains. Nvidia’s stock, up over 90% this year, climbed another 2.5% on Monday, pushing the Nasdaq 100 to a record high. I’m actively searching for companies to add to my $350K portfolio to enhance its performance. Open to suggestions!

I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritise patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K

I have Rebecca Lynne Buie as my investment advisor. She has a solid reputation in her field and is a true genius when it comes to diversified portfolios, which help portfolios be less vulnerable to market downturns. She may be a name you are already familiar with; a Newsweek piece helped me to do so. She's a Google-able person.

Longer time spans 20-30 years? : - put it in don’t look again. Shorter time spans (Now and perhaps 5 years):- Price is what you paid: Value (of that investment high or low) is what you got. Very different investing plans. The questions then remains: What is the intrinsic Value of a company today vs 20/30 years from now? What is the intrinsic Value of a company Now vs 5 years from now? Index Funds for the long haul. Index funds for the short haul - IF fairly Valued. Much to evaluate depending on what age one is, and what are the goals? For yourself vs for your progeny? Two completely different scenarios - again based upon a time line. Thanks Much!

Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.
@mykreid Жыл бұрын
I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value

This is the problem! Most times people with little or no knowledge of the stock market try investing by themselves. It once happened to me, then I learned my lesson and contacted a US-based finance consultant by name Olivia Maria Lucas and everything changed. 2021-2022 bonds was hitting almost 9%, everyone keeps a portion of cash, say in savings, I took a portion and laddered them, so every few months I could alway take the cash out with the interest and reinvest or put back in 4.1-5% savings and if it’s more then you can negotiate something favorable. As far as bitcoin, I do not mess with them, im honestly not even sure how to calculate them. I did throw some into BITO PROSHARES,BKCH, and DAM, I still hold them, they do ok. But I don’t know much about crypto currency

Besides Dr Thorpe, Anne collier, and of course buffet, munger and Ben, this man gave us some of the best tools to anticipate the cycles. Actually Buffet said at meeting once, anything Mark writes he reads and when he speaks he pays attention. Buffet doesn’t say things like this much about folk, he usually mentions The great Ben graham of course and his bro Charlie munger the great. Tell you what Cathy wood should’ve read his book before dumbing there Nvidia holdings, man I felt her pain 😢😢
