The whole thing with him being told Dana was dating and he got mad is a complete lie. He felt pressured by people asking too much about his drugs and he found a quick story to pique their interest more than asking if he’s getting high. He has a really big tell when he lies too. When he croaks and can’t spit out a word and goes “ehhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhh haha ehhhhhhhh awwww hehe”. He was such a liar and when he felt the walls closing in he would make up something to become the victim.

The whole drinking Dana thing is complete bs, like I’m sure that legit did happen where he found out she was dating, but probably at another point but Artie knew coming back after missing a day they’d be all over him about drugs, so he had to give them something hence this story which totally deflected away from the issue of his continued heroin use
