People here in Seattle (and everywhere) are still seriously heartbroken. His daughter has a phenomenal podcast about mental health issues. Go visit her...she's great.

Only singer I actually shed tears over. I had the pleasure of watching a live experience in Charleston SC at the art center. Voice that was filled with grace and truth.

Chris definitely was a huge talent and had the best rock n roll voice hands down....the world has lost on on some phenomenal music that he had yet to create....🙏🏻

Chris could whole-heartedly play, sing, and write; something that is lost in most modern music. It's almost an insult to just call him one of the greatest grunge or even rock performers. He was a genuine artist.

Everyone sounds so fricken good when they play on his show! What would be cool is if he would host shows on his show especially during Covid. He could have them play a set. I'm sure Howard would love that!

It sucked that he died and was one of those musicians that still had more to give, not only as a solo artist but with Soundgarden as well. One of the few bands that still had it.

The voice behind the soundtrack of my Adolescence - so lucky to have seen him live w/ SG at Lolapalooza II and the Unicorn in Htown. I’ll go ahead and say he’s the greatest rock singer of all time. Maybe Robert Plant, Layne Staley, Maynard, could be debated as well:)

Was lucky enough to see him on three of his solo tours and once each with Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. Was crushed when I heard he'd taken his own life; and continue to be broken up by the media circus between his widow and former band mates. It's very disturbing watching his wife and mother in law continuously posting intimate details of his last few years - it's almost as if they are trying to prove beyond all doubt his suicide had nothing to do with his family life. It's all very macabre.
