Howard the Duck: Howard gets a job

A few kids try to keep him from the greedy scientists and help him back to his planet. But then a much less friendly being arrives through the beam.

What I liked about this scene was that even when he was drowning he still got the job he was told to do done. It's a blink if you miss moment, but essentially he was tasked to unclog the water jets in that hot tub. When he got thrown in, in a desperate attempt to reach for the edge he gets the jet unclogged. There was clothes stuck to it.

I think you're all missing the point of why Howard the Duck couldn't swim, it's explained both in the comic and this film that once ducks evolve from regular to anthropomorphic in their species, ducks lose their natural abilities to fly and swim. Since Howard is anthropomorphic, he lost these natural abilities, so if he wants to swim, he's got to learn how to swim like humans do.

@@billmcdonnell79 It's explained in the film that once ducks evolve to anthropomorphic ducks, they lost the natural ability to fly and swim. Howard is an anthropomorphic duck, so he lost these natural abilities. Meaning Howard has to learn how to swim like how humans do.
