The way he just snapped in and out of his portrayal of Ray Charles even after all those years since the movie came out is wild. His performance in that movie was every bit as great as it was hyped up to be. And Taylor Hackford’s decision to use Ray Charles’ vocals was smart, Jaime Foxx could’ve easily done the whole movie with his vocals, but it would’ve become parody after a while and not been a proper tribute to Ray’s music

I always thought Foxx should have done all the singing in the movie. If any actor could have done that and done it incredibly well, it would be him.
