loved the corruptness and loss of way his character symbolized the manifestation of in the Jedi Order. Lucas is brilliant and those story moments, the Sequels and Disney movies are really suffering without his brilliance and influence

That's some respect right there! Howard rattles off two directors people put on a shortlist for the greats of their respective generations, and Sam basically is like "Hold up." and has to make sure George Lucas gets props.

Yeah Lucas got so much hate for directing the prequels, I think Liam Neeson said it was Lucas who gave him the worst piece of direction in his career. Lucas gave Sam a great role, but the man would have been happy with a stormtrooper cameo. Amazing. Sam Jackson is a great guy

I like how Jackson's first reasoning for why he would take any role when starting out was to help his daughter get through college, not pay the bills or to buy a house or whatever, just getting his daughter a good education.

here's some more for your list as well, the Barrymore's i don't mean Drew i mean her grandfather John, Lionel and Ethel they hated acting and the reason they did it was cause each time they tried to do something different, Lionel tried painting i believe and wrote music as well, John had his art, and Ethel had her Piano none of them were able to make money from any of the things they truly loved and so they said fuck it if i'm forced to act i will. they all hated acted cause by the time they had been born that family had been HUGE Stage actors for like at least a hundred years already. all 3 of those are some of the best actors of all time and it's just a damn shame they hated doing it.

Dude loves to act and loves to make money. Gotta love him, he doesn't hide the fact he's in it for the money. But you don't act at that high of a level without at least some passion for the art. He's a great actor that loves his craft and loves making money. The two don't need to be mutually exclusive. And the fact he really wanted to be in my favorite movie series makes me really like him more.

I remember that talk show as a kid. It was a show called TFI Friday, which was on channel 4 in the UK. He was like "I'll be a storm trooper...anything. I don't care". I remember at the time thinking "I wonder if he'll ever end up being a storm trooper and no one will know". Funny how things turned out.
