Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life So take the photographs and still frames in your mind Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial For what it's worth it was worth all the while It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life

I love seeing the throwback/vintage clips from the show sooo much! And I like how they include the year it was taped. I always calculate how old I was and if I remember listening to the song at that age. I was 12 in 98 & I loved this back then and still do. For some reason I thought I was even younger when I first heard it. Edit* I'm dumb. Lol I was younger when I first heard it. This song wasnt brand new when they played it for howard. Duuuh

I thought it was about graduating high school. Seriously tho, my school used this song for every graduating class video throughout the 2000s.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Billie had said this song was written for the punk culture they left behind. Once they went "mainstream" they were seen as sellouts so this was like a goodbye to that scene.

What a gem, love these old 90's recordings being dug up from Stern's vast archives for all to see. Keep'em coming!
