Blackpool in the 1960`s ( Updated Edition )

Back in the 1960`s a small group of camera and sound technicians from the Pendle Movie Makers which was then the Pendle film Society set about making a film covering the main amenities in the Lancashire seaside resort of Blackpool. Shot over a period of several weekends , and many feet of film and audio recordings we produced " Excursion" a record of a typical day at Blackpool as the people of that day would very well remember.

A lot of this reminds me of when I loved going to Blackpool in the 60s..jostling for space on the beach, the fish and chips, tea bread and butter..jugs of tea for the beach, seafood, Gipsy Rose Lee, and trying to get a sneaky read of the naughty seaside postcards on display,and of course Blackpool Rock..is all brought back by this film..many a smile was had watching it. I am so glad I grew up in the 50/60s,this film epitomises what I enjoyed back then, thath as been ingrained into my memory, for as long as I have my marbles...great upload.

Loved going to Blackpool in the early 60s, such a happy place, no trouble, everyone just happy to be there. What a mess it now is.

Yep I lived in Blackpool in the sixties, worked in Lytham St.Annes so I remember the bus station too. What a sorry state its in nowadays.

Before the UK .became a 3rd world country and Blackpool was a great and fun place to visit...It seems that the lunatics have now taken over the (political) asylum.😂😂😂😂
