The communication you and your wife have at high speed is remarkable! VERY good work you two. At a smaller scale, my wife and I have a 300hp jet ski, and we like to lead tours at higher speeds, she is always behind me pointing things out like that. It is so helpful. Just a little education for you on markers and where they are positioned in the ICW. The only time the "red right returning" applies is when you are coming in from open seas, going up or down a river or headed into a port/marina. When running north or south on the ICW, the red markers will always be on the inland side of the channel. So, for the West Coast of Florida, they will be on the East side of the channel and for the East Coast of Florida, they will be on the West side of the channel. Thanks so much for this explanation and thanks for watching:) At faster speeds it can get confusing knowing if you're close to an inlet with RRR rules or if you're inland river ICW of FL rules... so I just like to ask my navigator to make sure.
