I find it ironic that we blame Sean Desai and old whoopee cushion Matt Patrica for the Defensive issues last year. Nakobe played 5 games last year and played in 22 games overall with Jonathan Gannon & the two Stooges last year. But we are trying to call him a bust or not a good linebacker smh.

Another nothing burger hot take...Howie comped him to t.j. edwards(which is fair)...but no doubt they envision him probably being a little better than edwards at some point...and there is a difference between having a player you hope will be better than t.j edwards over time on a rookie contract, as opposed to giving t.j. edwards the money he wanted right after edwards got completely exposed in his last playoff game...t.j edwards as a comp is a low bar...it just means solid starter yet still flawed, not super star...if you get another guy like that you hope has the potential to be better in the 5th round...that's a win...resource allocation can't be looked at in a vacuum...linebacker doesn't take precedence over other positions they value more...now that being said, Howie is always good at reevaluating every process and situation to make improvements in their process when needed...I had no problem with them letting edwards go...problem is they went from competent with him to way less than competent, making it seem like edwards was an all pro by comparison...they rolled the dice that they could invest elsewhere and improve the team in other ways, and were very high on nakobe dean...he got hurt...it didn't work...stuff happens...way it goes...Eagle's process and their philosophy on how to build a roster is generally sound...but the good thing about Howie is he's pretty good at self evaluation and they aren't afraid to make tweaks to how they approach things...that's why they invested in saquon barkley, something that goes against what they normally do...they take calculated risks on players at positions they maybe value less, if there is a player that they think is special or unique...Eagles are pretty flexible...they have some core principles they are pretty rigid on, like building through the lines as the number one priority(as it should be)...but they have proven many times they aren't afraid to pivot or reconsider changes when needed...like I said...this video is a nothing burger

Not meant to be a hot take at all...our LB's have stunk out loud and we let TJ walk for a cheap price...now the guy we drafted gets comped to him...but go off!
