Why does everyone say he can’t read a defense running an rpo means you have to be able to read a defense.. and what I don’t get is I think the fact that Jalen gets alot of hate is because the team around him but look at last season the defense was 31st and tbh there’s a lot of game jalen had to carry the team in.. if that’s not elite I wanna hear what exactly is elite.. Jalen mahomes and Allen all had similar stats last season.. Allen had a run game and a top defense mahomes had a top defense good oline and kelce.. and on top of it have great coaches.. the eagles ran a screen 686 times last season qb runs.. mostly and had a rookie coordinator that didn’t know how to call plays. And the eagles had the worse defense in football.. but yet it’s all Jalen’s fault and he’s not that good.. and it was all Shane Steichen you need a good play caller there the first part of having a good game.. but no one gives that to Jalen.. I’ve watched the kid make great plays.. by reading defenses and sometimes it’s kinda hard to read a defense when bj was running 10 15 yard deep routes outside the numbers.. no one would of been able to be successful with that… but you know on the Super Bowl this past season.. Brock Purdy missed a wide open aiyuk does that mean he can’t read a defense ?? Hmmm I don’t think so..
