I’ve only had cheaper 200$ pairs of boots in the past and just recently treated myself to a 400$ pair of Anderson Bean(Mike Tyson Bison) boots which are made of Bison and I can really tell a difference in the quality of “higher end” boot materials.

Man just described how to make boots from 12 different boots making. Not everyone does it the same, for instance, the metal shank can also be a nail or leather shank

It must be cool to work at the manufacturing facility of a name brand boot company. I have worn CB boots for 20+ years now...and still have my very first pair of Nocona belly cut python skin boots. Outstanding quality, craftsmanship & shelf life...can easily get another 20yrs out of em. There is something for everyone, selection-wise....between the various toe styles, skins, and heels. There is nothing like the style of a well made western boot !! With minimal care & maintenance they can easily last a lifetime.

I wanted to like this video but I cringed at most parts. Seems like the narrator wasn’t aware on how the boots are made and was talking about what was going on specifically in each clip used. I wanted to enjoy it but I just couldn’t.

I'm pretty sure that's the point of the video. I mean you could probably just mute it if you wanted to "enjoy it"

@@DopeAssDude979 coming from Someone that actually make boots and listening to this is what made it hard. Like I said I wanted to like it, but the terminology was all over the place.

@@MannyTheBootmaker it was probably someone who legit has never seen boots made but read script is all. The channel would be paying alot of money if they got an expert of every "how it's made" video

In the medical field, wearing boots was impossible. Retired, I've invested in three custom pairs and four pairs of well-made, and expensive, mass produced. High-end, 'mass-produced' boots look good, yet take six months, or more, of frequent wear to 'break-in'. That's not helpful for someone who's got different pairs. In contrast, custom-made boots will be pliable in the span of two or three months. Boots, custom-made or mass-produced, become pliable with proper use, maintenance, and moisturization.

You're not the only one, I wore my 1966 dated jungle boots and just a year ago I had to have the left boot right side of the toe repaired along with both sides on the right side..

I know the script is directed to laymen but as someone who knows quality shoe construction, the narration irks me. At least explain how goodyear welts are different than the contemporary cemented construction. Trenton and Heath would explain it better.

Any technology or regular clothing you own was probably made in a sweatshop with God knows what kind of conditions. How your boots were made should be the least of your worries.
