Howl-O-Scream 2019 Opening Night | Busch Gardens Williamsburg | Inside the Houses!

Busch Gardens Williamsburg's annual Howl-O-Scream event is officially open for the season! With enhancements to returning favorites and new features, we went for opening Member Night and brought you along with us!

Exactly! Doesnt hold a candle to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando. Or the best Haunted Hayride ever....at Shadybrook Farms.

Been going to BG since 1990 and was really looking forward to the 20th year anniversary of Howl-O-Scream last year but it was a total dude. I think BG really turned it around this year. Most of the haunted houses have been completely redone with excellent theming and great scare actors. Frostbite in particular saw the most changes with it actually resembling a castle inside now, and the Vault and Demented Dimensions have more coherent theming now. Only two shows currently with Monster Stomp opening on Oct 3rd. Jack is back is just a great as it was years ago, and Night Beats is better than ever. Most of the haunt lines are better organized with wait times around 15-30 minutes for most. The scare actors look much better this year with elaborate costumes, and I love the roving chainsaw guys, which I think was done to give other scare zones a break. Been twice so far and will be back for more. Pro tip, if you wait until the last 2 hours before the park closes you can usually get through haunted houses in 15 minutes o or less.

Busch Gardens is wonderful but went to Howl-o-scream last Saturday and it was so crowded it was a nightmare. At least an hour long wait for the rides and an hour and a half to get into the haunted houses. Won't be back for Howl-o-scream!!!

I think it’s generally a no-no in houses. As far as rides, I think they prefer no loose articles, so it would have to be attached.
