Absolutely stunning! I've always loved that style of dress, but I love it as Howl even more!

This is awesome! I am not a quilter; but I suspect that the quilter way of making that fabric would involve cutting long strips of the pink and the blue, sewing the long sides to form a striped fabric, and then cutting row after row of attached diamonds, discarding the ends. Sewing these rows together offset by one colour. Still a lot of work, but less work than sewing one by one. I have watched quilting tutorials and they seldom cut the shape of the pattern they want from the start. Tricky people. I am sewing the cuffs on a house dress of the same style that Sophie wears as I am watching this. I migth have to make myself a 'Howl Pendragon' style jacket now 😍

I really should have done some quilting research before I started this project because that would have been way easier! 🙈 Good luck with your Sophie dress! 🥰

This was such a good project. I love watching you make it and also remember piecing his. So if everything didn’t lineup perfectly, you can always go in in so two or three pieces that are scraps together to make an extra triangle! No one’s ever gonna see those lines that we think they can trust me. I have so many skirts and dresses where the zipper is so crooked on the band, but no one sees it.

I cannnn’t it’s gorgeous, Annie!! Not only could I feel your pain through the screen with sewing all those squares but now I want to gift you with a bias tape maker. No one should have to iron and sew all that by hand. It’s literally a Hades punishment

It looks so good! I love the colors and everything, it's just so pretty. Some black feathers, either as accessories or sewn to the gown could be a cool detail next time you wear this👀 yeah just 11/10 though and you're really making me want to cosplay him lol
