So basically I learned how to play like half of howl's moving castle a few years ago. I want to relearn it but I lost the sheet music I learned from originally. Now I'm going thru every KZbin video with free piano sheets trying to find one closest to the one I learned off of. I remember a few things from the sheets I used and I think this arrangement is the one closest to the one I played before... I will continue searching for THE sheet music I used a few years ago, but if I can't I will play this. :)))) Thx for the great arrangement

I can understand that's frustrating; I've had a similar situation and your muscle memory just freaks out when it's almost but not exactly the same :)) Good luck!

@@FrankMeijering I've decided to suck it up and attempt your arrangement! I just kept re-watching this vid and it gets better each time eheheh

@My life in a Nutshell if you can reach an octave I think it should be alright. If not, it's always allowed to just not play some notes, mostly you won't hear the difference :)

Man, I've seen your channel while I was searching for microphones to start my own piano channel. I've seen you use samson's. But I have JUST realized you have just started as well. I had never payed attention to the size of your channel, I just assumed you were a big channel. The production you do, the quality of the sound, the quality of your performance, all of that made me think you were already a well-stablished channel (you will get there, you deserve, man). But man, when I realized that you'd just started I was stunned. And look, I've known your channel for a couple months by now, and it was just today that I realized that you weren't actually, when I was searching this music on youtube because I wanted to listen, and then I remebered your performance and thought "hey, that guy indirectly helped me choose my microphones, lol, and he did an amazing performance, let's listen to him again" and I couldn't find you in the main results. Then I added the name of the freaking microphones to the search and just then I found you. I was like "man, how come, I could swear he was a big channel". I am stunned, seriously. I already subscribed myself. Please keep up the amazing work and don't give up. You already are a source of inspiration to me.

Thank you very much for uploading the sheet music for free, it is very hard to find good ones without paying. I was just wondering, how are you supposed to know when to press the pedal, do you have to go by ear or is there something that I'm missing?
@FrankMeijering3 жыл бұрын
I play by ear. I'm not really thinking about it but if I could give any tips: - many beginners hold the pedal for too long and the sound gets very muddy; - in the beginning with the left hand staccato chords, I use the pedal to keep the bassnote a bit longer (otherwise you don't have the nice contrast of a full bassnote and light chords) and release the pedal for the staccato; - a rule of thumb is to change pedal every time a new chord appears (to avoid the two chords clashing); - to be honest it's just a matter of playing often. It'll become more of a second nature eventually.

Hi! No need to feel pressured (by this, I mean you don't need to do this) or anything but it would be amazing if you could arrange and cover "The Name of Life" from Spirited Away.

Ah that's a nice one. Tbh I don't think I'll do it, I have some hefty classical pieces on the programme.
