No the cabin is in correct direction. Actually all Automatic vehicles have this when u pull towards us vehicle moves forward and when we push it moves backwards. You’ll get a clear idea when if u check automatic cars drive is down and reverse is up direction. This is because it is easy to pull then push and mostly we move in forward direction so the controls are set according to the our convenience. But untrained drivers drive as you said.

Very disappointed If this is the standard of your training then you would not last long here in New Zealand. I suggest withdrawing this video and redoing it. No operator here would leave the cabin with the bucket raised. You have posted this video as a training guide. I for one will NOT be using it except to show what not to do. Also were you able to start the JCB with the lockout down

alan corbie Your right mate! Poor video. That bucket should not have been left like that. He didn't also explain that the track direction is dependant on track motor position! And yes I'm puzzled as to why he was able to start it with the lock lever disengaged??? I'm worried about operators on the loose having been trained by this outfit!!
