Despite Alaskans eating moose as one of the major sources of meat up here, they all take great care of all the wildlife. I'm not a native Alaskan, but I've been up here for 13 years. There are very very few ignorant hunters up here.

@@user-vg3yc6gk5f What makes you think that they don't understand hunting??? I'm a born and raised Alaskan (from the northern interior) and am also an animal lover. I actually have a really strong dislike for hunting, but I completely understand it-both, the good and the bad of it! Being that moose are one of my very favorite animals, and after having to watch a yearling lay down and die of starvation last winter (over a several day period), I'm wholeheartedly grateful to the rescuers for the beautiful little life that they saved and the care they took in doing it (I only wish that the State responded to all calls for help where moose are concerned, as they have so much working against them and their survival)! Thank you, you are all heroes in my book❣

And THIS is why the world has to go vegan. It doesn't 'sound like a baby' it IS one. If one doesn't wanna die or see their loved ones die, guess what...don't do it to others. Not by your own hands. Not by creating the demand and have others kill for you. The 'leather' you're wearing and the 'steak/ only very little meat/ only organically sourced (which is a euphemism for killed)' were babies, mothers, friends, individuals once who did NOT want to die. Humans TOOK their lives bc they have decided they can. No need here. Just entitlement. Greed. Evil.

@@paulzink2492 true especially up where I live they out in fencing with tiny wire squares that trap even some deer get entangled. Entanglement kills many small birds and mammals as well without hands or sharp teeth and some experience they can’t get free and die of asphyxiation or worse starvation. Put your big heavy yard stuff away when not in use eh? Too much to ask for to save a baby moose.

You don’t wanna be anywhere near momma moose and baby when she wakes up. Lol. My friends and I were sledding in the mountain and were on the trail headed into the Alpine when one of my buddies came around the corner with a momma and baby standing smack dab in the middle of the trail. Momma stomped his sled and that was the end of his sledding for the day. Lol. She did a good number on it! He’s just lucky she was fixated on his machine and not him!😂 The rest of us were quite far behind him and by the time we got there, we just saw our bewildered buddy standing there with pieces of his machine scattered about (the 2 moose were gone). We thought he had come around the corner too fast and somehow rolled his machine. He had so much adrenaline going through him still he could barely talk! 😂

These men are awesome to take such good care of these majestic animals. I wish game wardens took care of the white tail deer in the Texas Hill country the way Alaskan's, but they don't. We currently have a doe that has a PVC pipe stuck around her ankle and she is limping so bad and getting worse by the day. My son and his buddy tried to corner her, but she was too fast. No one here wants to help her or my son and his buddy, noone even cares. 😢
