Howrah is an industrial powerhouse. A lot of revenue is generated for the state from here. But unfortunately being a resident, I would say it is still a lot underdeveloped. Take for example howrah riverfront, or take howrah eco park which has been under lock and key since the lockdown.

I believe that main Howrah city or North+central kolkata are still in a big mess.. I can't understand why people of North kolkata mostly are still living in dilapidated buildings which may collapse very soon.. They should sell their property to builder and move on to South or east kolkata.. Renovation is not advisable at all... Waste of money... Population density is the major issue for kolkata and bengal also.. Bengal has been absorbing inflow of migration from east , north, west, from every damn side. Thnk god we have bay of bengal in South.. 😒 let me tell u how serious this issue( population density) for bengal is. Let say- karnataka - it spread over 1.9 lak sq km, population is 6 cr.. So population density is around 300/ sq km. Whereas bengal spread over 88k sq km, population is 10 cr. Population density is 1100/sq km.. So if we consider karnataka as benchmark, then population of bengal shouldn't be more 4 cr people..But we have 10 cr population. Outrageous.....

Amazing rohit da .l know Howrah is rapidly developing as westbengal admistration center is Howrah although kolkata its capital. Shapoorji and Palon ji a huge group which have only two residential society in india one is Howrah and another one is Gurgaon. Thanks rohit da keep us updated.
