Actually I did get Virtual Desktop yesterday and the performance was a lot better. The developers of Big Screen told me that the stutter/judders are a result of the game using 100% CPU. They gave me some suggestions to try and make the game run better in Big Screen.

Thx man! I'm just going to add one more thing to your tutorial. Make sure you have the option in Steam that launches all games in theater mode off before you even start this tutorial. Besides that, flawless. A little wonky, but playable.

Sure, I don't really like the vorpx route personally but I will still shed light on head tracking. Download the cloud profile for VorpX titled "re7demo.exe". Just search "re" under game/app in the cloud profiles tab for VorpX to find it. Once you have downloaded the profile go to local profiles and look for the "re7demo.exe" profile. Click on it and then click Add next to assigned programs. Add "re7.exe" from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard\". Once you are ready to play, launch RE7. HERE IS THE CAVEAT! It emulates an Xbox controller for head tracking so in order for head tracking to work YOU MUST PLUG IN AND USE A CONTROLLER.

I can not use head tracking with vorpx, did it work for you? Can you tell me the configuration?

Hey! I followed all the steps up until i got to changing the settings for the SuperDepth3D.fx. I can't find Alternate depth settings to change it to DM37, and i cant find the Disclosure power setting neither. any ideas?

Headtracking is not supported this way. You ARE able to look around the whole virtual screen, but in order to change direction you have to use your mouse and keyboard. I got VorpX working with headtracking but no 3D. I feel like 3D is more important but if you have VorpX I can help you get it working.

hello, what about the limited 90° FoV ? dont we need a 110-120 FoV for VR ?

The 90 degree FOV is not as much a factor because the image is zoomed out from your face, unlike VorpX which puts the image as close as possible. Also, you can look around the virtual screen to see more details.

I was able to turn of SteamVR Desktop Game Theater. When I turn of Half-SBS and return to RE7 my Vive will remain black and won't show a picture. When I turn half-SBS off and return back to RE7 I have 2 pictures.

The solution to this problem was starting RE7 in Window Borderless mode.

It's not real 3D, it should look 3D though. It uses a Z Buffer kinda like VorpX. You could try changing the perspective to 10 to increase the 3d effect

turn off htc "direct mode" option that htc vive will become second screen then vorpx head tracking will be working too

First thx for that tutorial :-) But I have a problem. All works finde but when I check (activate) Half SBS and go back to the Game my VIVE has only a blackscreen without HalfSBS I have Have that splitscreen. EDIT: Same with Oculus :-(

+Virtueldragon try resetting to defaults in virtual desktop. make sure msaa is off for virtual desktop. make sure the game is on borderless windowed and v sync enabled

That's like buying a xbox 360 controller and blaming it for not controlling your tv or fish tank. So "Capcom" needs to get on this! Also the dood in the video was using a vive not a oculus. :)

This is game is not for Oculus rift or the HTC Vive. It's for PSVR. So unless you have a PSVR this is the only way to play this game in vr 3D. Chill
