@@Pranav_Mathur thank you kindly.. I did ok but the initial start I had to have skipped over my skin and caused very visible but superficial marks from the blade skipping on my ride cheek by the sideburn area... other than that I did ok . I'm not doing a full shave with this type of razor, but finish it with a safety razor..
@Pranav_Mathur Жыл бұрын
@@rauldelarosa2768 It's good to keep a DE razor handy. Gives confidence. And you'll get much better with more shaves. The razor might be skipping on the skin due to longer strokes. I had to remind myself to keep the strokes extremely short and light. Kind of feels strange esp. after years of operating the DE razor on autopilot.

Funny you mention that, cos I was thinking the same thing. I’m learned ambidextrous (almost cut off my left index finger as a kid-surgery, yadda yadda yadda), and I’ve always used both hands to shave. Not exactly, but kinda doing once with the left, and then another with the right. But with a lot of things, seeing someone do things lefty makes me happy, bc I’m not having to reinvent and invert a process.

Really surprised how little shaving cream you use. I understand it can be done with the pores are properly opened and the follicles are stimulated (softening the beard) but damn. I like to have a healthy lather if cream to really stand ‘em up and it makes for a smoother glide. I’ve never liked it when I go to a barber and he puts some butter type product with no cream and then it’s “scrunch…scrunch…scrunch”. This is just me though.
