I love how you actually remade the pencil cake because it had 8 sides LOLLL!! But, I must say, you definitely redeemed yourself with this cake, its stunning. I once made a drip cake for a birthday and I accidentally put the drip on when it was too hot so it literally looked like candle wax. I had the biggest mental breakdown because I couldn't really do anything about it. Luckily, at the party, either no one noticed or no one said anything but I still have nightmares about that cake till today....

Idea for Pencil Cake 3.0: what if you cut the hexagon shapes out of the vanilla cake and then cut out a small hole from the center and replaced the holes with chocolate cake? Then the inside would look like a pencil too.

Yes I’ve had a mishap when making a cake and sadly I wasn’t cool. I ended up squishing my hands through the whole cake and throwing it and punching it. 😹🤦‍♀️ I left the kitchen and went to the store to get more ingredients. I still had to make a cake. Thankfully when I got back my husband had cleaned it all up for me. Which made me cry again. Thankfully that never happened again. I believe it had to do with the weather. It was in the high 30’s Celsius. Extremely hot! That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! 😹💝🥰

🙋🏽‍♀️I didn't take the eraser out, but I did bite the metal part. I was in AP classes from the moment I was tested for class placement. I used that useless eraser. It would get low, and biting the metal raised the enclosed eraser so that I could use more of it. Sometimes, you forget your spare eraser or lose it.

i used mechanical pencils from 2nd grade on, so i never chewed the eraser, but i definitely chewed the plastic clip. they were so satisfying for child me. no clue why.
