I love how you actually remade the pencil cake because it had 8 sides LOLLL!! But, I must say, you definitely redeemed yourself with this cake, its stunning. I once made a drip cake for a birthday and I accidentally put the drip on when it was too hot so it literally looked like candle wax. I had the biggest mental breakdown because I couldn't really do anything about it. Luckily, at the party, either no one noticed or no one said anything but I still have nightmares about that cake till today....

Idea for Pencil Cake 3.0: what if you cut the hexagon shapes out of the vanilla cake and then cut out a small hole from the center and replaced the holes with chocolate cake? Then the inside would look like a pencil too.

I was never a pencil chewer, but a lot of my classmates were. I remember almost every other pencil in my classes had chewed up metal tops. Haven't seen them much in my high school years when most of us made the switch to lead pencils.

Yes I’ve had a mishap when making a cake and sadly I wasn’t cool. I ended up squishing my hands through the whole cake and throwing it and punching it. 😹🤦‍♀️ I left the kitchen and went to the store to get more ingredients. I still had to make a cake. Thankfully when I got back my husband had cleaned it all up for me. Which made me cry again. Thankfully that never happened again. I believe it had to do with the weather. It was in the high 30’s Celsius. Extremely hot! That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! 😹💝🥰
