So true. My friend bought some of the grass you see in adverts that's supposed to be quick grow, grow anywhere, perfect lawn type. The picture said to sprinkle it with gaps between each seed, don't need much. Ha! Lawn was just like this only worse to start. They ended up buying regular grass seed and tossing it in thick. Only way!

Watched the whole video. We had to do the grass thingy about 20 years ago when we moved into a new house. Can totally relate to having to chase birds away... they are relentless, but seeing that first green haze showing over the ground is so worth it.

This is becoming my most favorite channel. Did the grass thing myself 6 years ago, so can understand. Don’t worry it thickens with time. However, don’t strive for perfection, this only stresses you out. Just enjoy the lawn, patchy or not. Gooosfrabaahhh 🧘🏻♂️

Stumbled onto this video after watching 12 or so videos trying to fix my grass. I watched the entire video and learned more than the other 12 or so. The leveler build lol I had never seen it before and I'm now in the process of making it. Then watched a few more videos and subscribed. Then a few more videos and your TED Talk. I can see why people watch you and you have had so much success. thanks and wish me luck on the backyard project. I'll need it!

I planted a patch of grass about that size a few years ago, I was lucky enough to have a couple compact tractors with tiller, loader, roller and etc. My grass also came up spotty, I just left it along and in a years time it filled in and it looks good. Loved your video, you need to do more like this!

You did a pretty good job! You made growing grass look fun!😁 We kind of gave up getting a perfect lawn and mixed white clover into the lawn. It made our lawn more drought resistant. We seeded in the Spring, so we didn't have to water much. It looks lush all season and mowing is every 4 to 6 weeks.✌🏽from 🇨🇦

As a kid, I always loved lawn work. Mostly because I got to use a machete and big knife, but it was also really satisfying to see the difference. It was also really calming, just a really steady job. Basically just rake till flat, lay sod, and stomp on it. My dad and I could usually get it done in a day.

This is the most rewarding video I’ve seen about grass!! My area is about 15 x 7 and I’m so exhausted from all the prep!! Pulling vines and roots, OMG this yard was a mess. The best most informative how to grow grass video ever. I only watched 3 others, well skimmed them, but non included the realities of suffering or triple reseeding a full dirt to lawn project. It was horrible to watch as I am seriously considering trying to grow some lawn over my weed patches and wanted the proper how to video that included the real quick fix. Now I’m properly intimidated and simmering but amused and educated.
