Fellow Utahn and exmo here. Agree they’re very tasty. Gotta get creative when you can’t drink alcohol or coffee. Not sure about the logic that a 40oz soda is somehow healthier for you, but that’s neither here nor there. At this point I hit up Swig mostly for the sugar cookies, but my favorite is basically Mountain Dew with Raspberry & Peach Syrups (I believe they use Torani) and Vanilla Cream (guessing but probably heavy cream with a touch of vanilla extract). Oddly it’s far less sweet than you’d think based on the ingredients.

The Malort esspressotini might be one of the things that benefits from an unconventional garnish - an olive. Salt is one of the ways that you can mitigate bitterness in cooking, so adding a briny note with an olive could soften that bitterness, if you're using unflavoured vodka.

I just drank a cocktail with Angostura bitters and 1. It was exceptional 2. I felt like I was on an episode of how to drink 3. I felt so much more knowledgeable than the other people there. Slay

This is by far my favorite series. I personally love it because I order whacky fucked up drinks that I have made at home, but ONLY if I have been to the bar before and know the bartender. It is fun to experiment and I've always been met with a confused smile followed by a "yuuh sure?!? Alright, enjoy... LOL!" 9/10 it has been a good drink.

I always saw the "dirty soda" thing as a riff on the milk-and-Pepsi beverage Laverne loved in "Laverne & Shirley." I will say that, when my sister and I were kids, we did get on a milk & Pepsi kick thanks to that show. What can I say, we were impressionable.

As someone who lives in the Mormon corridor, I can attest that soda shops are huge here and they are definitely onto something with adding coconut or vanilla coffeemate along with a flavored syrup of some kind into a soda. (and I've never once heard them referred to as dirty soda except by people outside of the area...)

Also did Greg just make one of the most entertaining ad-read Ive ever seen, idk who this Lovecraftian spoken Hobo man is but I dig him.

Having grown up Mormon and still being somewhat connected to them (my immediate being faithful to said religion), I didn't know what you were talking about with dirty soda, but now that you've explained it, yes, absolutely. It is a decently big thing among Utahn youth particularly, I hear from my cousins over there.

Forget the youth, it’s the soccer mom set. Half my neighborhood is downing at least one 40 ouncer a day.

So glad Drinkmate is sponsoring now. I bought one a year ago on your praise, but haven't tried it out yet.

When I do a Jager old fashioned it's actually mostly rye... 1.5oz rye whiskey, .5oz jager, a barspoon or so of simple, orange bitters(I go heavy but 2-3 dashes will be fine for most people)

I genuinely was confused until I realised that the King of Carrot Flowers is actually a cocktail, and wasn’t just a reference to a Neutral Milk Hotel song.

The vibe for these episodes is "Ordinary Sausage, but Mixology". What a cursed crossover that would be.

I can see a case for adding Sour cream to a drink. I've sometimes used yoghurt in drinks with citrus to give them body and texture without curdling from cream.
