If u want to rap then go rap. If u aren’t good get better. It’s a grind and everyone starts in a different spot there’s no destiny to it. It’s a matter of what you want and how much work you’re willing to put in to get there.

over the course of the past year and some change i've put in a total of 37 1/2 hours of actual rapping time. i don't expect to become a big rapper i just want to express myself. i started rapping at the lowest point of my life literally on the verge of suicide and just writing the lyrics helped me overcome depression. i then found myself wanting to get better at rapping because it's honestly something i enjoy doing at any time of the day. my current life situation isn't the best and it can be disheartening seeing zero progress financially but it's my fault because i procrastinate as a "bedroom rapper". not to say that my skills as a lyricist haven't gotten better because I've made leaps and bounds. i took a look at my first ever rap song i wrote at the end of December 2018 and compared to one i wrote today, the flows and the lyrics are just so much better. just believe in yourself and keep going. oh and if you read all this then i thank you for your time.

Dang dude, I feel you. I gotta lot of shit to say and I align with it all, but I have been alive for 1.) Not wanting my loved ones to be broken and wish they could've done something 2.) Somethings been holding me back, I should've been dead over a number of circumstances so many God damned times, 🙏🏼 and as much as I hated I wasn't, I feel this is my purpose and passion in life. Idk if this resonates but sometimes it takes losing everything (mind, sanity, toxic relationship that held be back from doing this but will now inspire and fuel the fire 🔥, will to live, job on the line, fake friends, etc lol there's a lot) to realize what you're inner truth and meaning/ purpose is. I wish you well my man, I know this is 3 years later but, you'll find your way and time, hang in there. ❤

@@emilyrose6546 never expected a reply on this, never expected to be back to this video but i appreciate the kind words, and thank you for empathizing. these days i have real direction, purpose, and motivation in my life. i still rap for fun too, hundreds of hours of rapping later and i'd argue i'm pretty good at it now. i'd like to think you came to this video for a reason, i assume you rap too. i hope you keep up with it, it's so damn important to express yourself and make some noise out in the world. it took me a long time but believe it or not that wasn't even my lowest moment the previous comment refers to. at my lowest day my willpower became unbreakable, and my drive tenacious. hell i got out of my own way, cut all the b.s and toxic people out of my life, and came to terms with shit i just cant change and i'm better than ever. i wish you all the best as well, keep ya head up.

To me writing down my thoughts helps a lot, bc when I write a song about something I felt in the past it's harder ( like a break up or bad day) but in the time when I write it down I can easily look back at it and create it into rap form Love these videos by the way man 💯💯

I'm a bedroom rapper q.q... The reasons i don't like rapping infront of ppl is: A. I rap about stuff i don't believe are a *fit* for my peers and social groups. (i do rap with, and for, ppl i musically connect with tho.) B. I rap about 40 words per bar, mix that with the nervousness of live performence = i run out of air C. I don't wanna rap for people if i can't perform at my best. People have responded well in the pass when i did pull my shit together and rapped for them. I believe most of the reasons are fixable through more practise and just not giveing a fuck... (sorry for bad spelling/grama, i tryed my best mom)

Yes, thank you! Stick to your truth and it'll all flow at the right time imo. A lot of people don't make it because they're writing about things that they haven't actually lived or felt, just superficial things, you can hear the lack of passion, when you stand by your originality and truth, the passion lies inside you and you can hear it in the way you write/spit.

I was horrible when I first started, all off beat constantly losing my breath but over time I got alot better and just here recently I got insanely better and I don't even know how it happened, my songs make more sense now and luckily all my songs don't sound the same and I guess that just comes naturally.

I have 2 questions please answer if you can 1. How much money do I need to start my career? 2. How many months does it take to have rapping as my only job?
@AaronMatthews5 жыл бұрын
1, as long as you have a computer,with an in built mic or your own mic, your set 2,depends how lucky you are
@StreetDiscipletheGOAT9135 жыл бұрын
Papatsou GR you don’t need any money just get some headphone/earbuds with a mic download these apps rapchat, tune me, bandlab, GarageBand, and etc at least 6-10 years and you need to get a full time job to build a studio from the ground up and work from the bottom to the top only until you start making enough to pay bills and get food just to get by without struggling
@HowToRapOfficial5 жыл бұрын
1. Depends on your goals I mean if you just want to post a song and promote it you can do that for free with social media... if you want to go on tour that costs thousands at the very least 2. You can do that within weeks if you are already a dope rapper and just need to flip the promotion switch. We have a course on how to do that: raptycoon.com

Yeah I have all of these even in my worst times rapping has always been a way to just get things off my chest. I’ll drop what I’m doing half the time because something hits me and it needs to get written down. I have had a very bad life but music is what keeps me going.

I get complimented on my voice a lot from my reaction channel. But they say it sounds like a radio voice, something like podcasting. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it as a rap voice. The issue I have is delivery, but when I try to deliver, it feels forced and fake. I've been studying other deep voice rappers to see how they style, so hopefully I find a solution., however if I do it will be a weird one haha. This video has been helpful.

I'm rapping as a hobby so I havent put in the time to be as great as someone doing it full time, but I still love it. Just started med school tho and it's about to get busier and busier. I hope if it gets too busy down the line (residency is like 3-6 more years AFTER medschool w 80 hr weeks), I can still pick it back up as soon as I clear up my schedule again. I spent the first unit of school just freaking out that I'll b old a'f when I can dedicate more time again, but I guess if I love it I gonna do it anyway, regardless of age. I actually gonna make my next serious MV this break for a single I been working on lol. The past 3 vids on my channel have just been filler so I'm ready to put out some more quality, hopefully.
