COMMENT: What would you personally rate your rap voice on a scale of 1-10?
@wytewillow28282 жыл бұрын
I would say a 7 but needs work I think 😅
@JoeySkate242 жыл бұрын
Like a 5 or 6. I dont like it yet but i like it in certain parts of some songs that i produce
@mi5tafreeman2 жыл бұрын
10 but it didn't come easy put years of experimentation into it.

6 or 7 Ik I struggle with maintaining, but it feels like every time I rap my voice changes or fluctuates. Same thing happens with my everyday voice, but idk why it could happen. I think maybe weather, smoking, diet or who knows 🤷🏾♂️ I have music out if you need an example Drew.

the problem i got with my rap voice is i cant stick with a consistent accent because im always singing/rapping along to various US artists with different accents, im more of a vocal impersonator than i am comfortable with my own voice
@kraftyyo62852 жыл бұрын
don't let this stop you from making music though. it don't matter if you start out sounding like someone else. make your own songs, record yourself singing them and listen to yourself frequently. you'll slowly know what sounds good from you and what you like. you'll slowly tend to have your own style as you work on your projects.

Write your music with your own unique style and you'll definitely find your voice.

You may have to end up doing a more comedy driven style. You can do all those voices or impersonations to fit more goofy satirical lyrics. Or you can just do a situation where it's more in depth so you can "play characters" arguing or sharing the experience instead of being just you going through it alone. Also I had the same problem a long time ago. I got through it by just closing my eyes and only doing voices and impersonations for every word of every song. I made me get tired of using that extra energy to change and change so often. I used the less funny voices and stuff just to piss myself off enough I didn't want to hear anything but my own voice ever again. Too tired to do voices, to annoyed to do voices. It was easy after doing that for a week.

My voice really doesn’t work in a rap context but that’s not gonna stop me from practicing daily. I’m competing with friends here, I gotta blow them away!
@djdaya9712 жыл бұрын
I finally got all the green lights then. I tried to rap on electro, latino, and dancehall beats and I could see the audience nodding their heads in the club, claiming for more, each time I changed my inflexion between each beats transitions. I'm not a goat yet so I would say 8 on 10 now. Thank you for your advices, your 21 days challenge definitely helped me to level up!

Use a recorder to record yourself rapping to your favorite artists and find out which tone sounds best for your voice.... also gets you rapping and practicing .
@altuervo6 ай бұрын
My real voice is so shit that starting out im having to use like 3 layers at the same time cause i cant blend the tones yet 😂, tryna sound dark, raspy and loud at the same time without killing my voice or layering is hard

I think most new rappers problems are they use KZbin beats unpaid and that means you have to work with the whole beat as in. If you had that much instruments on at once you will be trying to find a rhythm. Try finding beat boxing videos and rap to it, use those bars on an actual beat and it will work out perfectly

My rap voice gives me a headache. I can do 4 different voices and each sounds like a different person's voice. I'm trying to use them all based on the topic of the lyrics that I'm writing at the moment but it's still annyoing cause they don't sound like the branches of the same tree, they're like literally totally different

Run ads on your raps and if the comments say that your rap voice sucks, then you don't have a good one. And if they say "Fix your teeth and get a different career"... well I'm not sure what would possess someone to comment that, but it happens a lot.

I come in at three friends family other people around me they Say I’m way higher than that. I just don’t see it. Lol but I guess the artist is their biggest critic.

I would give my freestyle rap voice a 7 at this point. This isn't an exaggeration due to the fact that I challenge myself by rapping over pop, rock, dubstep, and even country beats. I also freestyle for hours on end with a good friend of mine. We do it to keep our blades sharp, as iron sharpens iron.
@DonkeeBoyYT Жыл бұрын
When I was younger I would always tell people mine was also 7. But I grew up and it actually is 7 now. My girl says it's not too big and for sure not too small. So I'm happy now. But to get that....voice was it? Yea to get that voice to a 10 would also be pretty cool.
